Italian Ice---my style

I've really become addicted to Italian Ice during this past summer since two places selling have opened up in the two adjacent neighborhood business districts to my house. Traditionally I believe the recipe is just frozen fruit juice, sugar & water. My favorite flavor by far is Lemon-Lime.

So I found a simple recipe to make at home, but decided it was a little too icey.

The original recipe was 3/4 cup sugar dissolved in 3 cups water over moderate heat, then add 1/4 cup lime juice & 1/4 cup lemon juce & freeze.

So then I decided I wanted it creamier, so I substituted 1 cup whipping cream for one of the cups of water, then freeze. Better, but still too icey.

So then I redid the immediately above recipe, but after it was semi-frozen, pulled it out & beat it til frothy, Refroze.

Boy is it good.
