Thanks for the info, teddahlia! I was going by what the grower/gardener had written on the tuber for the name. I'll make sure I correct the spelling for my records. I went to the link you included and after viewing the picture and info I must say I'm very happy with my gamble. Thanks again for your help!

(Don't 'cha wish they'd plant those powerlines somewhere else???) No, they don't help the picture at all, do they? But on the other hand, I kind of like having hydro too!LOL Yes Brenda, country living can sure be sweet, and sunrises/sets are definitely the best of times. Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!

I looked at the pictures of Gold Medal on HMF, and I don't think that's it. Mine definitely has red edges, although you can't really see it in the picture. The red seems to fade as the bloom gets fully open. But when it is just opening, it is red on the edges, going to orange, then finally yellow in the center. Thanks for the help, though. I appreciate you giving me a suggestion. BTW, this forum give you the option to upload a photo after you hit the "preview message" button, when yours is the first post in a thread. That's how I did it, anyway. Apparently they don't allow photos in follow-up posts, but you can always put your photo on Photobucket or another image service and just give a link to it. Thanks again!

I too really enjoy your pictures, but I will not tell you the (S) word is coming M-T-W but you did not hear it from me in ND, you know the state just west of you.
Maybe we can send it south.

Marie...say it ain't so! It can go south as long as it's gone before we head to FL!
Thank you all so much for your kind words.
Isn't it amazing, Carol? Next thing they'll be going off to college!
