Logging In again........

Sigh, I don't know what the powers in charge do all the time but they just did it again. Could you please put it back so I don't have to keep logging in over and over again?

It's just the Kitchen Table Forum as far as I can tell.

Thank you.

Anybody else?

Did you check "remember me"?
Otherwise your security level is such that you're not accepting the cookie which lets you stay logged in.

Zipper, the only time I have trouble with it lately is when DH or DS have been on the computer. My problem with logins has been with Yahoo! Almost every time I would read a Christmas Card Exchange email last night, I would have to log in again to read the next one. That has happened several times lately.

Yeah, it can happen once in awhile like Diane said. Either the cookies got cleaned out somehow by your computer, or the website had some update or maintenance that wipes out the cookies. I hate it when my son messes with my computer and cleans out ALL the cookies. There are some websites that I can never remember the password to get on.

Many thanks Zep: I unchecked "Clear history when FF closes" and that seems to have fixed it. I had looked under Options before I wrote, but thought I had always had the "Clear history..." choice selected. Apparently not, although how it was changed I don't know - I'm the only computer user in the house. - June

In the past lots has been posted about Stack n Whack.....do a search in past posts to read what all was said. That's the idea of having all posts saved - why waste good info when one can revisit it...no need to reinvent the wheel each time...lol Did you contact the technical staff about the problem? Sometimes I have to login before EACH post, and when that happens I email technical about it....they never answer me, but the problem does get 'fixed'..

Is anyone else having on-going log in problems? I've been working with a GW tech but so far, no luck resolving this. It's only with GW, doesn't matter whether I'm using Firefox or IE or my hubby's laptop. I'm kicked off the minute I leave the site even though I check the "remember me" box each time I log in. I've checked my cookie settings and all is as it should be. I've never had this issue before and I've been a GW member for a decade or thereabouts. Since it began when the font and back button issues started, I think they are related but I can't prove that. They are still working on a fix for the font problem (guess they've fixed the back button problem?) so maybe that will miraculously fix my log in problems. One can hope!

Mine does this about once a month, Zipper. Have you emptied your cookies lately? Maybe they're jammed up or something.

Thanks everybody it's working fine now. It was working great last night then suddenly started the logging in thing. I hadn't changed a thing so I knew I hadn't done it :0)

I guess it's back to normal now ;0)

About every month or two, I have the same problem. It does it for a little while, then all of a sudden it's okay again.
