I'm a guzzler!!

I sip it in bed, as I read the morning paper. I read my last page as I take the last sip.
Then, I put the cup down, reach for my pens...and do the crossword puzzle, then the Soduku.

I say "it" because it's my one cup of the day, a Mocha Latte....well, it's a 16oz. cup.

Sipper. I'll have a cup of coffee sitting here for hours.

I sip about 3 cups of tea each morning. If it gets quite cool, then I will guzzle it.

I can finish a whole pot in less time than you drink one mug Glenda! I guess that makes me a guzzler too!

I am, and always have been, a guzzler. My dear Grandma would be so ashamed! LOL I try not to slurp, though.

I started guzzling coffee, added white wine, (not together, LOL) continued guzzling, added tea, dropped the wine, dropped the coffee, but still happily guzzle the tea.

I'll drink a whole pot during the day, and another pot (holds 4 large mugs full) in the evening.

I can't drink coffee; I don't miss it although I do like the aroma. I can't drink wine; I miss it every single day. Just the smell of it in a restaurant will make my mouth water for hours.

Heavy sigh. Diabetes bites.

I'm a sipper - one mug can last me for a long time, especially when I get busy on the computer, or at something else equally engrossing.

It is helpful, in that I get some exercise, getting up to take it to the microwave three or four times (or half a dozen).

Imagine the trouble I'd have with Kathryn's gift, the mug with scenery and "A R I Z O N A" printed in relief around it in large letters ... and, of course, in order to do justice to Arizona's wide expanse of scenery ...

... it has to hold about 1.6 - 1.75 times as much as one's average mug.

That should keep me busy for the entire day, wouldn't you think?

I always have my cup of coffee at hand, sip as I surf, sip as I craft, finish the mug, then head for the coffee pot for a refill. I go through two pots a day. That's caffeine in my veins, not blood, hubby says. LOL

As many of you know, a chain of coffee houses that was started by Tim Horton, a famous hockey player in Canada many years ago, has now grown to pretty well every area of Canada, and a number of places in the U.S., I think mainly after it was bought by Wendys (which later sold it, again). The nearby city of London, of about 300,000 or so, has about 23 of them (and my friend knows the location of each).

Sometimes when I see someone walking, carrying one of their distinctive brown and orange paper cups (or a cup from another such establishment, as well), I comment to them that I've heard a rumour that that stuff is addictive.

Most grin and agree that, yes, it is addictive.

Actually, this afternoon when I saw a man using a plastic grocery bag to pick up the warm product of his dog's exertions, I suggested to him that he might find one of those used coffee cups helpful in the task of picking up the dog's product ... and he thanked me, agreeing.

Give some thought to how to re-use stuff that you're about to throw out ...

... just think of the possibilities for easing one's journey through life (and at nil incremental cost!).

I'm sort of a non-stop sipper.... until it cools then the rest goes down quickly. I generally make enough to fill a vacuum bottle and that's about right. Sometimes I like more but I've "cut down" on some of the coffee drinking! In a restaurant I can almost always drink a full carafe of coffee. Course for $2+ for that beverage, I like to get at least part of my money's worth.

OJ, I reuse a coffee cup often when I buy one. I slip the new one into the old one for a double insulation. Helps in the wintertime for keeping the heat where it should be. But that's a good idea about the scooper. Thought just crossed my mind if you set it down somewhere and someone decided to steal a sip.... ;)

Around here Caribou is the biggie. Local business started up and has become quite big and actually has been giving Megabucks, er, Starbucks more than a few headaches. Also Dunn Bros. and many one-horse shops.

Interesting the way the coffee shops took off, especially after the push years ago about how bad coffee supposedly is for you. But you don't pry "kaffe" away from the Minnesotans!

When I had a desk job, I was a slow sipper.

I am a guzzler.

I guzzle my first cup of the day.....my system needs the caffeine! Later on I sip, sometimes letting it get cold.

I guzzle the first mug full. Then right behind that one I have setting a insulated mug with a lid. It's still really hot, and I sip on it. Then go get another big mug full when it's gone.

I'm not a coffee drinker, so I probably shouldn't respond here .. but my soda is as vital to my day as coffee is to my husband's. (he's a guzzler I think)

And I'm a soda sipper ... I get a 20 oz. bottle each morning and it lasts until noon. I get another one after work and it lasts until bedtime.

I'm a semi-guzzler.

I guess I am a guzzler...I am on my 6th cup in the hour and a half I have been up. Well, since the coffee was made anyway.

I like my coffee hot (or warm/hot) so I usually finish 1 cup (large mug) in about a half hour. I go slower on my second cup, usually just a half cup. But I wouldn't be able to sip all day on one cup.

I'm a sipper, but not "real" coffee. That stuff is horrible! I like the sweet French Vanilla that GF makes in the little red cans.

Even my hubby sometimes will have a cup with me on the weekend.

I cannot imagine taking an hour to drink a cup of coffee, but I don't consider myself a guzzler either. Soon as it's cool enough, I drink it in 15-20 minutes. Komodo Dragon decaf from S-bucks.

Oh my....I can't handle mornings without coffee. Three cups before my eyes open. Don't even try to have a conversation with me before my third cup.

tea drinker here and can't stand for it to get cold, lol...unless it's iced, then i'm a sipper...my first cup is about 6am and LOVE the hot mug to warm my hands..

I rarely drink coffee and when I do it's decaf because it seems to have a milder flavor. When I do drink it I sip.

I have a coffee maker that makes four cups. I make a pot in the morning, then have 2 cups hot. I let it sit (with the burner off) and then make iced coffee in the afternoon. It takes me about 15 minutes to drink a cup of coffee. I think I got trained by the 15-minute coffee breaks when I worked, for 31 years straight, retiring in 2005.

I'm just wondering how people can take a mug of coffee and wait 1/2 hr, an hour or more. In this state (home of the KaffeeFest, it'd be so cold you couldn't drink it! (Even on a hot day!) Although I guess there is an advantage where people keep telling me to go... the coffee should stay piping hot!

Thus another advantage of the vacuum bottle. If it sits for a while and gets cold, I just pour it back into the thermos and fill the cup again. It mixes and is hot again. Assuming you drink it within a reasonable time frame of course.
