sandwich fillings.

I like curried chicken sandwich filling, this is also nice when making "fancy" sandwiches for guests.

Peanut butter and jelly, all mixed up first... simple, I know. Nothing better, other than maybe a banana sandwich with a lot of mayo and a good, cold, glass of milk.

As someone who loves sweet peppers that go beyond "not hot" as a main characteristic I'm shocked at how many sweet peppers out there have little-to-no flavor beyond a sugar content and a slight-to-none natural pepper flavor. What passes for a sweet/fruity sweet pepper is kind of pathetic. The Gypsy (hybird) and Lipstick peppers are my current commercially available favorites for taste when ripe. Aji Duce is a sweet/fruity lantern/hab-type with a nice flavor (thin walls, though). Various Marconi-type peppers have a good fruity-sweet flavor when very ripe, but they tend to take a long time to fully ripen and have thin walls. I'm so sick of bells that I can't really think of an awesome tasting bell aside from the newer Flavorbust (hybrid) which is pretty nice tasting (though I'd take Gypsy or Lipstick over it, easily). Bells on whole taste pretty "washed out" of many flavors to me aside from the sugar content. I'm going to be passing out seed for a 2.5-3.5" medium/thick walled sweet pepper (no heat) with a sweet and fruity (apple/citrus) flavor in a month or so. Ken - yes, looks like Hosta Choice is out London way. Thankfully, I'm not riding the hosta train these days so doubt I will be heading there any time soon. Because I need another obsession like a hole in the head. Woodyoak / Sunnyboarders - yes, Mori's is right on the trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake...and Sunshine Express is right off the QEW. I used to buy from Mori's when I was first plant shopping, but I noticed the weirdest things just wouldn't survive. Like herbs for example. I thought it was me or my own inexperience, but then I was talking to a few work colleagues and they described similar situations. Plus they were significantly more expensive than elsewhere. So I stopped buying product there and would only go to walk through there nursery during lunch (a nice escape!). Funny, because they are a major nursery supplier and when I would cross the border to Buffalo, they were often from Mori Nurseries (and I'd scream NO!). The one exception to this was Japanese maples - they had a really great and varied selection and generally no problems there.

every time i see this post.. i have another list ...lol ... the real trick is volume of flowers ... which on a shrub...as it ages.. takes care of itself .. but with the smaller plants ... its volume of plants ... if you want your socks knocked off ... that and a lawn chair.. so you can move around and actually sit near the display.. on the few days when the show is at peak .... it will be hard to plant things.. and hope and pray.. the aroma wafts up to the deck ... i am sure i have had neighbors wondering.. what the heck i was doing out back of the garage ... or out in the far corner of the yard ..... with a 6 pack cooler.. for 3 evenings .... staring at a garden bed .. but then.. by that time.. they already knew... lol ken

Stefan- For the most part from your posts I’ve read you seem like you are pretty passionate about the subject that we all gather here together for. I’m kinda like Rina though and trying to figure out why it seems like you have such a hard on for Jeff, who seems like a nice knowledgeable guy. I haven’t been in the forum anywhere near as long as a lot of people, maybe only 3-4 years...? I appreciate the insight and advice of most of the people here. Everyone has something to offer that others can take from it what they will - or nothing at all. I appreciate all of the pictures too whether from their own plants, from faraway places I may never go to or someplace I have been to but something I may have missed. This is a public forum where anyone can post pretty much whatever they want to (provided it is within the Houzz guidelines of course). Even saying that though there is a certain etiquette that most of us seem to recognize and follow most of the time. Including you EXCEPT WHERE IT COMES TO JEFF. I have to admit that it’s at the point now that whenever I see that Jeff has posted something I almost cringe. Not because of the content of what Jeff posted but because I’m waiting for you to come flying out to berate him or his post for seemingly no reason at all. Each time you don’t I’m relieved and thinking WHEW! Glad that’s over...whatever that was about. Unfortunately, that relief is short lived because eventually like with this post you do it again. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s old, Stefan. It’s old and boring and I for one would enjoy the forum just fine if I NEVER read another post like that from you or anyone else again as THAT is not what I come here for. Can we please keep it to the subject at hand? Our mutual passion for, enjoyment of and sharing our knowledge and experience with cacti & succulents? That’s not too hard, right? Roasted turkey from Thanksgiving. On white bread, with:
Red onion
Cranberry Sauce
Mayo
Leftover dressing

Oh my heck...THAT is heaven.

But...I might have to try the cream cheese and olives on rye.

Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce...

on a sweet roll.

And when I say "sweet roll," I don't mean a pastry type of sweet roll. I mean the rolls that are like sourdough rolls, only they're not "sour" and they have a soft crust, not hard like sourdough.

Yum.

But I also love roast beef sandwhiches; BLT (and BLTA) sandwiches; chicken (not chicken salad) sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches...

I love sandwiches ... all kinds. But I need them on white bread, soft submarine sandwich kind of bread, or a kaiser roll.

Meat. Most any kind. Mixture is good, piled high is great. On a nice wheat roll or toast and with some ranch dressing as the condiment. Also enjoy good chicken salad.

This time of year when tomatoes taste like tomatoes, a BL&T!
Any other time, egg salad with leaf lettuce on toasted whole wheat. If I am eatig out, it would be a ruben, with corned beef piled at least an inch high and must have thousand island dressing on it. That in the only place I would use that kind of dressing, so I don't make rubens at home.

Reuben with mustard instead of Thousand Island dressing. I have to make a bunch of finger sandwiches for a shower next weekend so I'm going to do a search for some.

Right now it is the little cans of Ham Salad that you find on the canned food shelves they come with crackers and a little spoon They also have Chicken Salad and Tuna. 99Â¢

I must have at least 8 of the Ham Salad on the shelf
I just open the can and spread it on bread and it is so good especially for a midnight snack.
My other favorite is Bread and Butter pickle juice on bread or dipping the bread into the juice. I can't really chew like I used too so this is good for me.

Tuna salad, or egg salad, or chicken salad, or hot pastrami on dark rye. BLT, thick roast beef and thick ham on WW bread or sour dough.
