Absolutely adorable!

That first Raggedy Ann and the Cabbage Patch Doll were both amazing.

Have to say that I think it's disgusting when a couple dresses up their months-old baby at Halloween and knocks on my door wanting candy. I ALWAYS tell them that I don't have any candy that a baby can eat, and they ALWAYS tell me "that's ok, we eat it!".

They are all so adorable but the picnic basket cracked me up!

Although some people enjoy trick-or-treaters, I consider myself lucky that not one has ever come to my door. We live off most people's beaten paths, and the neighbors who had growing children years ago were all fundamentalist Christians who didn't believe in Halloween. So I never had to buy candy. Yay!

Our DGD was Yoda to her big brother's Jedi Knight last year. She tells me she'll be a bee this year; don't know about DGS's costume. She is 3 1/2, and he is 9 1/2. They trick-or-treat in their other grandmother's neighborhood in the city, where she goes through mounds of candy every year.

Houses in our area are not close together, and there are civic celebrations. We stay dark now. None of our nearby neighbors have little kids at home any more. We never had more than 15-20 kids even years ago.

I should clarify.... I'm not talking about relatives or friends with a new baby, or even neighbors with a new baby... I understand their excitement and I'm all for that! I'm talking about an adult couple, strangers to the neighborhood, who dress up their baby and DRIVE to this community location so that THEY can get candy for themselves. The tip-off is when they have one baby in costume, but THREE buckets for candy. :p

They are so cute! We just learned yesterday that our DD and two grandsons will be visiting for the week of Halloween!

I have a renewed enthusiasm for decorating this year!

Adorable! A few years ago, some friends dressed their little girl (she was probably 4) as Winnie the Pooh. They came to the door and of course I asked who she was. She says, "I'm Winnie the Pooh." Then she pointed at her six month old sister in her carrier and said, "And Sawah is the honey pot." Indeed, Sarah was dressed as the honey pot. Absolutely precious!

I like the ones where they juxtaposed the baby's youth for older people like the Dahli Lama, Sophia Petrillo, and Frida Kahlo. Those made me smile the most!
