Comments (18)Lynn, I am so thrilled at your reaction to my Boo Bunny shelf. Yes my white rabbit was a weather vane, but I cut it down short so I could use it indoors to decorate with. (first time I sawed an iron bar! My daughter told me how to do it with my Dremel. Wow, didn't know I could do iron) I have another in the yard that is still a weather vane. Found them at Target a few years ago. All of you love the witch boots, from Tues Morning. I wish you could find some too. They only had the one pair here. NanaK, thank you for commenting. I understand how terrible it is to try to sit here and enjoy things when your back is on the warpath. I hope its getting better, do you have sciatica too? Frou..I'm so glad that I made someone like a color! Especially purple!! LOL. But hey, its not THAT far removed from your beloved pink. Since the gang here got me liking pink, and then finally yellow, I guess anything is possible. LOL. Yacht, most of my faux pumpkins were bought after season and really reduced prices. Tho a few days ago, I did buy another white one at Michaels (40% off) to do a floral arrangement for my livingroom. Its another Fall one. I think the white pumpkins are so pretty for florals, and I love adding the Krylon webbing that I did on the black one. Gives it a 'marbling' effect. By the way, I don't dare let myself think about repacking/storing my decorations!! I get overwhelmed enough just getting it out. Especially Christmas since I'm so overboard on that. LOL, Jay, that sitting greyhound probably is thinking what the heck. He gets put away at Christmas, but otherwise he suffers thru all the holidays done around him. And with a suitable ribbon to wear. Luvs, the little letters on the witch say Trick or Treat. I 'misremembered' where I got her...thought you'd made her but then realized I bought her last year on Etsy. I love my frog witches. I found them at different times at Michaels. I've got the big one moved to my bay window now, but I left the little one by Witchkin. hugs, Karen...See Morethe SCARY part of my Halloween decor
Comments (22)Yes, Luvs, I've been adding a few witch things to my Halloween stuff. I'm really not into all the usual stuff like ghosts n goblins, jack o' lanterns, etc. but I do love witches and ravens. And of course witches have kitties. LOL. How neat, Kathleen, that you (and Candy) also got married in 1970. And Jane, you ate at the Outback too. ;o) Plus, Nana, some of us really like Dancing with the Stars. I think Candy previously nailed it about our Holiday gang having so many little things in common outside of just holiday decorating. Even the same furniture, or same figurines. Maybe this is why we seem more of a family, or a group of really long-time friends. Time, and distance, matters little it seems, some people are just meant to come into your life and make you feel like kindred spirits. I am always in awe of our group here, and the closeness/caring we share so easily with one another. I doubt any of us expected this when we found this Forum, we just wanted to share some Holiday decorating! ;o) By the way, here's the flowers Jas and Suz sent...and the two dolls I kept from my Mom's collection. These dolls come named, so that is Victoria on the left and Rebecca on the right. The photo is my Mom when she was in her early 20's, and the cat pair are very old figurines I found at an antique show about 25 yrs ago. (My mom loved cats) hugs, Karen...See MoreSharing Some Halloween Decorating Pictures
Comments (10)Luvs and Belle, Is there any way to get rid of my post I messed up on? Luvs, I hope you find your book so you can finish your projects. They sound pretty cute and I'm sure you won't rest until you find it. How was time with DGD? I will be getting my grandma fix this weekend and can hardly wait. She is going to preschool and taking dance so I haven't gotten to see her during the week much. Oh Luvs, DGD just turned 4 in June so she must be a year younger than your GD. Our GD would rather eat steak than mac and cheese so I always ask what she wants for dinner and she always comes up with something. She's just starting to eat pretty well. So it's fun to watch when she's really hungry. I noticed the change when she was going to swimming lessons and then swimming an extra hour. My teapot, shoes, plates, napkins and rings were my DM. I'm sure a few of the witches were also. Most of them do a dance, talk or something so can't resit buying something new every year and I never get everything out to decorate every year. Our shop is so full of decorations that I need to quit buying but they keep coming out with new ones I can't resist and especially if I can pick them up when they are on sale. I will try to get the rest of my decorations out and post a few more pictures. Quit taking DH shopping with you and then you won't have to see that head nod, woman!!! Mine does that also and I just ignore it. Sometimes I'll grab a couple more things and give him the look just to show him I can.LOL Thanks for the idea of looking up bug art. I wanted a pattern I could just copy but it's not that I couldn't come up with something if I need to. I am going to buy JMP latest book. Have you seen it? She is a favorite of mine for sure and I can hardly wait to get it. No bugs in it though. I don't know if Sam's Club is part of WalMart but we will be getting a new Super WalMart near us so that may be nice. They have been trying to get the ok since 2003 and just got a ruling this week for the go ahead. Will close and try to get back here this weekend. Punk I don't want to sound negative but last year my camera quit working right and I called the company and was told they didn't know how to fix it so the kids bought me a new one for Christmas. Seems like no matter how expensive they are, we only get 2-3 years out of them before something goes dingy. We use ours alot so maybe thats why....See MorePics of Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving items?
Comments (7)That is funny Krafty. I love his Halloween stuff. It's crazy cool! ha Now I'm doubly excited to see what you are doing. I really want to do his "Meet Belcher" from Holiday Past 2. I really like everything in that book. It's the only one I have of his, but I want to get more. I really love his Americana and Primitive stuff. Here's a link to his site if you want to check it out Luvs. You know how I love Prim and Americana so you'll see why I like his stuff. Here is a link that might be useful: John Sliney site...See MoreAphaea
