I'm grilling tomorrow....

I just haven't decided what I am grilling. What are your suggestions? Thinking chicken wings or cornish hens or...... what????

We have been grilling Bisson Burgers and they sure are good. But just about anything grilled is good !

I've done a lot of "Drunken Chicken" better known as "Beer Butt Chicken"
I use a homemade spice rub that has paprika, cayenne, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, celery seed, salt and pepper...it really is ultra tasty.
This recipe is just the basics, yet you'll get the idea and make it your own.

The fastest germinating/establishing grass is perennial rye. Perennial rye can make a beautiful dark green lawn, but if you use it you can't just overseed it to change what you have. Overseeding PR with anything other than PR can also be difficult as mature PR can inhibit other species of grass from germinating. PR is a bunch grass, which means it doesn't spread like Kentucky bluegrass, so periodic overseeding will be necessary if you experience stand loss (although there are a few spreading ryegrasses on the market now). If you want to change what grass you have in the late summer you will have to kill it all and start over.

I promise to report back! Maire, thanks for reminding me that I have to empty the memory card in my camera* and figure out how to use the digital recorder my DD gave me recently. My original one gave out last year, so it was good timing to get one now. *Yes, the newspaper probably expects me to use my own camera. I don't mind......when I first went to work for them in 1999 we had to develop our own film. I was glad when they switched to digital and I could say goodbye to darkroom chemicals. Although their smell reminded me of happy childhood times in my dad's darkroom.

George I don't know, I haven't researched the Euro Ariel..they do both say professional and both are made by P&G, I will have to check it out...you will be getting your tide prof soon, omg I double zip lock bagged them, than put them in bubble lined brown mailing envelopes, hubs took them to the post office, the next day I was ask to come to the post office and was ask permission to open one, I gave my permission, they only opened one, looked, sniffed and said thank you, gave me tape to reseal and told me my next package would be postage paid...I'm like omg you people are thinking this is drugs..they said they were sorry, but its a small town and they have found a lot of drugs passing thru the USP service...I was furious..they offered me a free postage package any size within reason and gave me a book of stamps..I guess I understand, its a small town and since I live outside of town they don't know me but hell that pissed me off...now I crack up when I think about it, I'm running a detergent ring thru the mail, lmao.I told them yes I'm addicted to Tide. By the time I left I had them all laughing, and I had a voucher for postage paid package up to 31 pounds and a book of stamps 12 postage paid long envelopes and a keychain with a tiny map of my town.This could only happen to me. Remind me to tell you the story of an older man that ended up in my grocery cart at walmart holding a box of Tide/ bleach. Haha.

When we had our home with the grill on the deck outside the kitchen door, I grilled a lot, sometimes even on a mild winter day. One thing I liked to make was Chicken kabobs and veggie packets, I would cut up boneless chicken into chunks, along with green pepper, onions and cherry tomatoes. Marinate in Western dressing, while soaking wooden skewers in water. Meanwhile I washed and cut a couple potatoes in about 2" chunks along with some onions, carotts, parsnips, or what ever veg on hand. put on a square of foil, add some butter, salt & pepper. fold the foil into packets & seal. Thread chicken, peppers, onion and tomatoes on skewers. Cook on grill along with packets, turning often. Baste kabobs with the Western dressing a couple times.

Last week I grilled a whole turkey! Yummmmm sure was good and only took about 2 hours. I have even grilled a roast beef. Very easy to do. Use indirect heat for anything that takes a while to cook.
