I think ours are louder when the TV's on ABC. They just blast me out of the room. I don't think they used to be so bad. A deaf person could hear the ads on my TV.

I was on Fox News, that's where I noticed it. And Billy Mayes is so annoying. Now he's even doing serious commercials. Yuk. I don't miss Z-girl either. I think the sheer repetition of the commercials is such a turn-off.

Moni, about 2 months ago I painted the craft room lime green. As much as I love lime green, I didn't like it on the walls, it was too much, so I'm now painting Aloe Vera, by Olympic from Lowes, a paler shade of the same green, but dramatically different. Already the craft room feels calmer and more welcoming. I'll show before,before and after when it's done. From pale yellow to lime green to aloe vera. Phew. It takes me 4 days to get 2 coats on it, all the way around.

I have found all commercials are louder then the show you are watching. I don't know why they do that. It blasts you out of the chair. We usually mute the commercials or zap through them if it is recorded.

The people who want to buy my old gold are driving me crazy. I mute them as fast as I can. There is one elderly woman standing by a body of water who says , painfully slowly , "I didn't know my old jewelry was worth so much money". I want to push her in the lake behind her.
And I declare I am going to get my scissors and snip the daylights out of that blue plastic thing that hops off the restroom sign to talk about Detrol.

I always loved Sonic, but since their stupid commercials of 2 people talking in the car....I will not stop there to buy anything. I would really like to get one of their 99 cent banana splits, but I won't stop there!

The local commercials are usually louder here. What's worse is that some channels are actually louder than others. My CW and PBS channels are louder than the other channels. I have one older television that you can only adjust the sound by getting up and turning the knob. If I'm switching between shows and one is on a louder channel, I can't stand it.

Don't tell us ...

... tell the advertisers!!

I thought it was just my tv on these commercials (nutrisystems) since I have gained alot of weight and need to lose it it was trying to send me a message...LOL the sonic ones drive me nuts too...Stacy

Oh, I agree. Every time you change channels you have to adjust the sound. When I watch "The Young and the Restless almost everyone mumbles or talks very low and then the commercials BLAST you out of your chair. I like to tape some shows so I can FF through the commercials.

The NutriSystem peopole all look great too after loosing weight, especially Marie, but that food they show does not look appealing to me. Has anyone ever tried it?

Billy Mayes has the worst voice. It's too high pitched, not to mention loud.

The one for denture Sea bond stuff makes me ill when that man grimaces and I have to change the channel before I see him.

My husband rersearched and bought a TV that automatically re-adjusts the volume when programs or channels change. It's made by Zenith.

Too loud for me too. I have tried Nutri. and the food is not as good as Jenny Craig. I wanted to drop about 70 lbs. a few yrs. ago that never left after having a baby and gaining more after she was born. JC's food is very good. I would eat it on a daily basis even w/o dieting. NS food, no thank you..... I did lose the weight on JC but also had to have my gallbladder removed. Years ago, someone mentioned that a lot of JC dieters ended up having their gallbladders removed sooner or later. Weird... but then, I ended up being one of them! Ha!

Can't stand Billy Mayes. Also hate the commercial airing nowadays to "Take Back Lunch! Take Back Lunch!" Also, just about any local car commercial. They are loud and obnoxious.
