roper2008, i'm basing that these are lemon boys on blind faith in a coworker who gardens professionally on the side. the seeds, according to him, came from a lemon boy tomatoe that he got from another coworker. so it's kinda like the old whisper in the ear of the kid in front of the class and by the time it gets to the back it's totally something different. he gave me a cup that had five crowded seedlings, three look very much like the ones in the pictures and two others have the look of creoles. he told me he tried to plant creoles but had no germination in the cups and then planted the lemon boy seeds. anyway, it could be anything and i'll keep you informed what happens. cozy- that's how to grow tomatoes. are you going commercial or are you just an over zealous tomatoe freak. my lot here in the subdivision is right around 1/2 acres but i do have 40 acres up the road a bit in mississippi. i'm growing a lot of blueberries up there. blackberries are growing naturally and i'm introducing raspberries. i'm also doing them here at the house, but the soil here is difficult to support blueberries and raspberries. i'm doing well enough with heavy soil ammendments though. erlyberd- i have no plans on selling tomatoes myself right now. cozy looks like he/she needs to sell but then again some people are really hungry and big eaters.. haha.. i do plan on canning, making sauce, and salsa. i crabfish commercially as a side job, just started and i was planning on opening a small buisness around that with maybe branching out to selling fresh produce. i really have an interest in farming wild mushrooms. hopefully all the crabs don't die from the oil.

I do like the Twins/Olympic ad! In a way however, the powerful REAL "Human drama" in that story is a little "lessened" in a way because it's for only a "beer". Can't put my finger on exactly WHY, but there's a slight disconnect for ME anyway. This the original 9/11-Clydesdale ad. Aired only once on TV. When the music changes & the team starts to kneel....oh my... Faron Here is a link that might be useful: 9/11 Clydesdales...

OMgosh! Its so good to hear from you and hear what's happening with your wonderful family. The kids have sure grown, I remember when you were pregnant with Grant!! And I can't wait to hear how the kids respond to the new puppy. Bless you and the family and thanks so much for stopping by. Susan

No potty training going on here. There's three feet of snow out there. Even if I were to attempt I'm sure the puppy-wuppies would be most unhappy...too unhappy to do their business, you know? They are Bearded Collie dogs. Tuffy is part Bearded Collie. Gabby's mother was Tuffy's full sister so Gabby is 1/4 bearded collie. Gabby is Mom to the puppies. Daddy to the Puppies is Whiskers. He and Tuffy are full brother and sister. These puppies are especially special Bearded Collies because their grandpa times three? four? was a famous Rodeo Dog named Hairy the Rodeo Dog. (this is a Dave Stoeklein photo). Harry traveled all over Idaho, Utah and Wyoming with a rodeo company. I can track these puppies back three generations. I know where they came from. My Dad had Harry's daughter, Top. Top was bred to a border collie named Tip and they had, among others, Tuffy, Afton (Gabby's Mom) and Whiskers. Cool, no? Holly AKA Achmed the Terrorist AKA Holbert AKA Holly Buns can't stand the puppies. She is certain they are taking her rightful place in the family and nothing I say will convince her otherwise. She is very jealous and somewhat afraid of them. Ruby doesn't care one way or another as long as she has her heating pads and a scoop of catfood with her senior citizens chow every day. I got Ruby the same day Jesse started first grade. Jesse is almost twenty one now and was six at the time. Ruby is almost fifteen years old. I keep waiting for her to go downhill but she's kind of at a plateau. In fact, I've justified getting the last three dogs on the basis that 'Ruby is getting old and will be passing away soon...' She's sure fooled me, huh? She also loves her ball, the front deck in the morning and barking at birds. She especially hates the ugly black birds that fly in and steal her dog food from her dish. Someday she WILL catch one and then they'll be sorry! She is a happy dog. Incontinent but happy. So happy she sometimes does not know the cats are sharing her heating pad. We don't tell her when this happens as it would upset her because, you see, she really doesn't like cats. LOL Lori
