Great. I'll have to check for it.

I just started watching William and Mary. Martin Clunes is William, an undertaker who is a widower with 2 daughters. Mary is a midwife with 2 sons. They meet in the first episode through a dating service and then the dating and fun begins along with a wealth of misunderstandings, complications, and humor. It was filmed in 2003.

You all are sooooo helpful. Amazon and Netflix want to charge me extra, but I don't wanna pay. :) I did just check the city library and saw that the dvd is waiting to be shelved. I flew over there only to discover our library is closed Sun., Mon. AND Tues. Isn't that sad?? I used to be able to go to our county library as well, which has waaay more selection, but now they charge $80/year, which I won't pay. Sure do miss that library. I guess if/when I finally do get that dvd from the library, I'll watch the whole darn thing. Thanks again for all the good ideas.

I wasn't aware of "Doc Martin" until an earlier thread when so many of you enthused about it (thank you!). Had never even heard of it. I've since begun watching it from the beginning, enjoying a show whenever the TV mood strikes me. I watch it via Infinity (Comcast) on my computer. I'm not nearly as far along as Pam, however. Just through Season 2, Episode 4 so I have quite a few episodes yet to enjoy before I'm current.

Marti, I know that Craig Ferguson is a multi talented man, and he and another man created the Doc Martin character, and he was the gardener in Saving Grace. He has several more scripts and movies to his credit, so I cannot say whether the one you ran across is it or not. But I can guarantee you one thing.....you will be amused and really LOVE the movie. The movie SAVING GRACE, the two Doc Martin movies, and the Doc Martin series episodes, are all laid in the Cornwall fishing town of Port Isaac. Now I am interested in looking into ROSEMARY & THYME.... I do thank you for introducing me to the Doc Martin series, which dovetailed so well with Saving Grace. It is the kind of story.,..and scenery....that I can get my DH to watch. Common gardener, like you AND like moi, and then a real horticulturist, like I have a friend who is one of those, but she is so laid back it is hilarious, always working on HER huge property, and doing volunteer work related to gardening and clean waterways. Really a fine friend. Maybe you need to find yourself such a friend too? I sure have learned a lot of Latin from her. I have a really great story to tell about her and volunteer work, but this is not the place to tell it.

Thanks to everyone for posting! It's been very helpful. I bought some seeds of the Red var. of it and will see how it grows in Washington DC. PS: I am maple_man, (since 2003 i think) but houzz will not let me use it now, so had to change it to maple5man! also tried maple5man(maple_man) but it did not like that ether! Could not access my profile, was forced to make a new one. I am very unhappy!!! Definitely going to miss the old site.

Oh sorry mare. I'm actually watching it on plain old cable TV. I watch it on NJTV (New Jersey Public TV) which I get at home, but I even get it at my vacation home closer to you in Pike County, PA on Cablevision.

Thanks for the headsup Mare...I started watching Season 5 on Hulu yesterday. Doc cracks me up...so smart and so clueless about the social graces. lol

"Rosemary and Thyme" was quite enjoyable! -- it ran for 3 or 4 season but I can't imagine I've seen all the episodes, so I'll have to put that on my "search" list.

Mar: How did you get that e-mail from Netflix on "Doc Martin"? Had you seen previous seasons and it automatically generated the e-mail to previous viewers? I'm only on Month 1 of my Netflix subscription, so I'm curious...

I don't know how or why I got the email, I just did. I have had Netflix since last Dec and have watched previous seasons of Doc Martin. I thought that everyone got it or at least previous Doc Martin viewers.

Our local PBS station has completed its' broadcast of Doc Martin Season 5. We record them. Have only the last episode left to watch.

They sure found some cute babies for the filming.

We've seen the mooning pharmacist, Ms. Tishell (Selena Cadell?) in a couple of other British series of late.
