There's just two of us usually so I only shop every couple of weeks. I'll visit the warehouse store every three months or so to stock up on paper products and other non-perishable items.

We eat mostly grilled chicken or fish with steamed vegetables so I can go a long time without visiting the market.

If we lived closer to a store, I'm sure I'd pop in a couple times a week for fresh fruits and vegetables but it's a bit of a drive, so once a week is all I do.

Once a week for the two of us. Fresh fruit & veggies won't keep any longer....:0) Then an occasional trip to Walmart for a stock up on generic splenda, salsa, flavored water....that sort of thing.....

I go once a month to WalMart and Aldi. It's almost an hour's drive or I'd go more often so I didn't have so much to get at one time. Then I go about once a week after that for fresh items: milk, bread, vegetables, fruit, meat, etc.

The store is very close, so we go at least 2-3 times a day. DH just left to pick up groceries a few minutes ago.

Once a week. Just two of us here. Thank goodness! I wish we could get our grocery bill down. I try and try but it's always the same.

Usually twice a month except for milk and bread. I buy 2 gallons at a time and about 3 loaves of bread at a time.

Whenever I'm in Walmart those around me are very clean and have up to date merchandise. I restock as need be . I occasionaly shop at other markets but same items are higher in cost than WM.

At least once a week, usually more. Although there's just the 2 of us I usually forget some items, we go out most every day and Walmart and Safeway are only a couple of miles from our home.

The store we shop most at, is just a few blocks away.
I usually shop Fridays when the sales start, and if there's something that's a real good price, or produce that I want, I'll go again before the sale is over, on Thursday.

I bought 10lb potatoes last Friday and bought another bag yesterday. It gave me a chance to use some out of the first bag I bought, without having 2 new bags to use up at once.

I do a big stock-up shopping about once every two weeks, but am at the local grocery store (a 10-minute walk from my house) several times a week.

I've gotten out of the habit of making one big buying trip for groceries. Now we go at least twice a week. Not good.

My stepson lives with me now, so usually whenever I decide to eat at home - usually 4+ times a week, I go to get whatever we want to eat that day. I cleaned out my freezer and now don't stock much in it - we agree on what to eat and go and buy it or order fast food and pick it up.

Since Pizza Hut started offering any size pizza, any way you want it, for $10, we buy one for dinner a couple of times a week. We can usually get two days' meals out of one meal, whether I cook it or we eat fast food - we just don't eat a lot at one setting.

It's just me, and I go, whenever I am out of something. There is a pretty big Buy For Less on my way home, and there is Crest near my daughter, and I like shopping on base, for good prices... and then there is SAMS, and lets not forget my fav. German store, Aldi.

Most of those don't carry everything I want... thus, I go to one at the time, till I made the rounds, about one store per week.

There are certain brands or items I want that are not stocked locally so when I am near a store that carries them, I stop in. We are in Southern California so there are large markets that carry everything from fish that are swimming to smoked duck for Asian families very reasonably, and their produce is exotic and wonderful. when I am out driving for work, and pass by I will get stuff. There are only 2 of us but we have lots of family that join us on weekends, and my grandchildren (ages 3 to 10)are not picky eaters so we try new vegetables every so often along with BBQ we cook outside. We shop maybe 3 times a week, but Costco maybe once a month.

It's just me and I usually go about twice a week, sometimes more often. The grocery store is conveniently located.

Twice a week for milk.

Once weekly to the Farmer's Market for things we don't grow ...and meat.

Once monthly for fish.

Once every 2 months for non-perishables.

Daily to the garden or daily to my canning closet in the winter.

we do sams and costco once a week...have a pretty set shopping list and use it...i do wal mart for the pantry items we can't get in small enough sizes...

aside from apples and bananas, do fresh fruit at the store...

I do my "big shopping" once a week. I look at all the circulars and try to pick the one store with the best deals. But I also go almost daily to my local grocery-it's about a quarter mile away and I enjoy the walk. I'm always there for pet food or milk,etc.In bad weather I drive there.

Once every 7 - 10 days to Jewel or Dominick's (large chain stores). DH will fetch a gallon of milk and two or three other items in between.

I used to shop a distant Costco quarterly. They've opened a new store 10 mins. from my home. I'll probably shop there alternate months, primarily for meat and bakery goods that I can freeze.

We are just two adults, home for breakfast, lunch, teatime (tea and cookies), and dinner.

Hate shopping of any kind. Since it's just me and my two cats, I don't shop often or stick to a schedule.

When the cats need something, that's when I'll break over and go. :)

I shop three stores once a week.

usually we go every other weekend, if we run out of something or need something we may go every weekend. We hit Costco or Sams every few months. I keep my pantry pretty well stocked. I am not cooking the big meals like I once did we are eating lighter and easier these days.

We do go to the farm market in the summer on the weekend.

I am so wanting to change my shopping habit... presently I go about once a week, if not more, and to Costco about once a month for paper products, and a few other things.
My goal, is to become more organized, and have a stockpile of canned goods, cleaning products,other staples, and to organize my freezer, do better meal planning, and be able to not go as often... I know I spend alot more money when I go to the store on impulse items that are not needed.

I have been seriously thinking about starting to watch sales, and combine coupons... only for thoses things we DO use, and to plan ahead, prepare meals ahead and freeze what I can. My goal, is to only shop once a month... other than for fresh vegtables and produce... I have in the past frozen milk, and bread... and that works fine..
Not only the fact, I am sure I can save money, just the convience of having what I need on hand,planning already done,and time not having to go shopping or last minute stressing on what the heck is for dinner....

Another Aldi's shopper here....We normally go after Mass and breakfast on Sunday...I try to make a list of things they don't carry and maybe every other week will hit another store...When I see the prices at the other stores I cringe....We have 2 Walmarts within 10 miles and another going up about 2 miles away...They could be giving their stuff away and I wouldn't stop there....

We live about 40 miles from a grocery store. So we try to go every Sat. or every other weekend.

I am very fortunate here. Within a 10 mile radius of my house I have 6 major grocery chains, Walmart, (4 stores) Big-Y(A local high end grocery chain- 8 stores), Stop & Shop(5 stores), BJ's (same as Costco or Sams wholesale), Costco, Price Rite (a bring your own bag discount grocery-3 stores) then we have 4 small local butcher shops (one of these butcher shops is larger than some grocery stores but its meat only), then we have a commercial restaraunt supply that sells direct to the public (super prices but bulk lots), 3 Oriental Grocery stores, a Jewish Kosher Grocery store, A Greek Grocery store, 3 Farm markets, plus a local Farmers market on the common once a week that is like a big flea market(best place for fresh veggies in season). This week I got huge Hubbard squash and Acorn squash for $.60 each and 50lbs of potatoes for $12. Right now the tomatoes are so cheap its not worth planting a garden.

Being less than 75 miles from the Atlantic coast we also have 3 fish markets with some fantastic deals.

Jan and I do not eat fast food or purchase any prepared food save for the occassional pizza about once a month or oriental take out delivered about twice a month and maybe a sit down meal at a restaraunt about once a month, but the truth is, I can cook every bit as good as any of the restaraunts so we just do all our cooking at home.

It is just the two of us so we have a small apartment size deep freezer and a huge pantry. Generally we only shop once a month for meat, poulty & dry good. I buy meat in a 50lb mixed bulk pack from the butcher shop and generally get top quality meat for about 2/3 the WalMart shelf price.

We don't use much milk so I just buy a quart at the convenience store next door whenever we need it and for bread I generally make my own.

My daughter laughed at us till I showed her the receipts. We average less that $300 a month for groceries and we eat rather high off the hog daily.

I'm surrounded by grocery stores. I just stop when I need something.

I do make a Super Walmart run to stock up on things like pantry items, eggs, butter,bacon and other packaged meats, about once a m month.
