What's for dinner Monday?

We're having ribs and twice-baked potatoes tonight. Got good news today--I have a new great-niece. Little Katherine Quinn B----- was born yesterday afternoon and weighed in at 8 lbs., 8 oz. She's a big girl already!! And very pretty (of course I'd say that).

Flip burger boutique for me, today! Haven't been there in over a year.

Had their special: mushroom burger with melted swiss and caramalized onions, covered with horseradish sauce on a lettuce wrap!

Congratulations on the new addition!
Tonight he will have a ribeye on the griddler and I will have the rest of my schloskies (sp?) sandwich and we will share a Bob Evans hashbrowns casserole side dish.

By the way I have to give a product review, if you have not tried the Bob Evans hashbrowns casserole sides yet I highly recommend it. Excellent for a microwave product.

Pam, I love quiche and have leftover ham in the freezer. I should make one with ham, and onions, peppers and mushrooms. Hubby won't eat any hot cooked eggs, so it's me and my quiche. The last time I made hamburger rolls I posted a pic :) Cheri I love pot roast. I tend to make mashed potatoes on the side, instead of in the slow cooker. We like them that way better. Alice your dinner sounds great! We eat a fair bit of rice, just love it. Ellendi would you share your quinoa recipe on the Share your Recipe Thread???? We enjoy quinoa. That's the pits you had so much trouble finding the sriracha. Old Fixer, IS there such a thing as too much garlic? LOL Party, I was going to bake some sweet potatoes yesterday, but they are really small, so I mashed them along with white potatoes. We like them mixed. Matti, I've heard that In n Out burgers are good. Enjoy! Rhizo, we just had some homemade apple sauce that I took out of the freezer with a warm oatmeal-carrot muffin! Georgysmom, everyone deserves pizza at some point!

Ellen chicken salad sounds delicious Shirley, Spanish rice sounds good. I make one version in the slow cooker, with ground beef. Sue, I like my fried egg sandwiches with tomato as well, and bacon when we have it. Kath, I used to like the Southwestern Salad from McD's. Haven't had one of them in a couple of years now. Raven, I love that skillet dish. One-dish meals are so handy. OF, as you said, frozen lasagna is way easier than making one from scratch! Pam you had what is the perfect steak dinner! Jim, veggie soup and lemon pudding! Yum! We're in for the high temps tomorrow as well with high humidity. 30C but feeling much hotter with the humidity.

We had leftovers from Mother's Day. I was not too hungry so I just had a grilled chicken thigh and a piece of my black raspberry pie. Had leftovers for lunch too. The weather here today was fairly nice, great breeze a little sprinkle once in awhile and some sun was out too. Right now it is 71 outside. Sue in Central Indiana

I just looked and it is actually called Hash brown bake here is what it looks like. I have enjoyed most of their products, the sweet potato one is delish.

Glenda, that sounds better than okay. If I were you, I'd be back there tomorrow for the same dinner.

Ravencajun, I'll have to look those side dishes up. I always need to check the sodium levels and other stuff. Sure sounds good, though.

Congratulations on your very wonderful news!!!

Dinner here was pulled pork sandwiches with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions on whole wheat Kaiser rolls and potato salad. Was planning on adding homemade applesauce, but when I went to the orchard, apparently the Crispins aren't being harvested yet. Maybe next week.

Carol, stir-fry would sure be good. I have it on my next weeks menu planner.

Azzalea, sorry about the apples, but your dinner sounds great without them. In fact, I just finished eating an hour ago and my mouth is watering with your description of your dinner. Don't caramelized onions take forever?? I've only done them a couple of times because I'm too darned impatient.

Pam, thanks for the great idea. I had already made meatloaf in the freezer and mashed potatoes, too. We have a lot of running around to do tomorrow, so that'll be our dinner.

Mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, from a can, and it wasn't bad. I was going to have a piece of chicken, but got too full from the carbs!! Had sliced tomatoes, too, of course.

Our neighbour brought over some homemade pea soup.
It was "different". It was spicy with some greens in it. I asked what the greens were and they were dandelion leaves.

She picks goldenrod, dandelion leaves, chamomile, st. johns wort, etc etc. and cooks with it.
I didn't care much for the dandelion leaves. ;-)
