Trouble with GW?????

I only see 5 pages and some pages won't even open. It says something about maintenance. I posted a reply to Trisha57 and while it is there when I open her post, it doesn't show that there is one. Anyone else having problems today?

Same here. It has been on the slow side opening posts today. Then I started having same as you. You're not alone.

Thanks, Shirley. I guess I'm glad to know I am not alone LOL. I will try to have a little patience. Not easy for me though!!

but it is weird that you can mention D***'s ...sometimes known as Dick's Garden? I aint gettin my hands slapped...I think those too are off limits, or are sometimes it seems. Umm...what does being deputized entail? I feel like I may have to go through some bizarre ritualistic ceremony, Nah...nothing bizarre...I just authorize you to sign your name with drbb behind it. Your responsibilities, are to help others and particularly newbies...just as you already do....so no biggie. You would be surprised at the GW email questions I get, because I am 'the resident busy body'...they figure I will know the answer or tell them where to find it. I think its funny, and enjoy helping them. Sue...who is also an unofficial member of the Unofficial Garden Web Welcome Wagon...along with being the rbb Back to the peaches. I hope I get done in enough time to pick maters so I can wash and sort them yet tonight....sigh

Sorry to hear that such a thing happened, I am arranging my first trade of plants over on All Things Plants, and the thought that someone would pull a scam for plants never occurred to me. I have had many plants given to me and I have given many to people. Plants multiply, and gardeners in my experience love nothing more than seeing others grow to love gardening and sharing there knowledge and plants, why steal something that is often given freely with a smile. What a shame. I have received many, many Iris from a wonderful women (she gave me 72 different irises the first year) who would rather see her extras enjoyed than threw away, I have reached the point now that I give hundreds of rhizome away each summer rather than throw them away. She has told me that she has paid up to $25 for a individual rhizome, but they multiply and out grow their space, and she hates to seem them just threw away, the year before I met her, her husband took two pick-up loads down to the lakes to discard. I have no doubt, if this person had just asked, they would have received many, many Daylilies for only postage. Gale PS... If anyone needs Iris, let me know :-)

Actually, for several days, the search engine will time out, quickly! Today, more specifically, I can't open some of the threads! I'm having this on my laptop and our 'big one'! Yesterday, the problem was on any of the forums offered by GW! Haven't tried today anywhere but this one!! Is it just me?

Unfortunately, it happens all too often. What's puzzling is that it's the Table so often, more so than other GW forums.

I had a problem with a post, it finally just timed me out all together and I had to start all over again.
I just read there is problems on FB today too, things are working slow because so many people are on line ?

I generally expect it on Hoildays and days when all the kids are out of school.

That doesn't bother me. The trouble I've had lately, is I emailed the "powers that be" asking, politely, about a pulled post, and never heard from them. That irks me.

Wow. I just posted to a thread and when I tried to "go back" to the KT, it went to a thread about the GW advertising from Feb!! eerie.

Things seem better this morning to me. I guess it is as hayjud and lavon suggested - to much traffic slowing things down. I'm glad everybody is back to work/school!!!

I only have 5 pages again this morning. Things have been extremely slow opening for me for weeks, but I have no clue if it's just here or if it's my _(*&*(&^*^%%$ computer. It might be both, as my screen keeps going black, so I may be loosing the computer all toghether.

ps.... That's another reason why I am saving all the recipes and other stuff. Always have a back up plan.
