Good movie to see?

I'm thinking about going out to the movies, alone, tomorrow afternoon. I'm thinking of going to see "The Women" but haven't totally made up my mind. Anyone see any good movies lately? I've seen "Tropic Thunder" recently. Other than that I don't even recognize half the movies that are playing now.

I want to go see "The Women", but can't find anyone to go with. I'm not into going to the movies alone.

I'd also like to go to the sing-along version of Mama Mia.

Anyone in Tampa this weekend?

Why not, Barbara? If I waited for someone to go with me I'd have to wait a long time, unless my kids wanted to see a particular movie too. I try and go to the earlier movies, 1:00, 2:00. A lot of middle-aged and older women seem to go to these alone, so I don't feel weird.

I've seen The Queen & Little Miss Sunshine & if I'm remembering right & the gods of Netflix smile on me, I'll see The Departed & Babel before the Oscar telecast. And miracle of miracles, Pan's Labyrinth is actually playing in this little burg, so I think I'll run out & see it this week before it disappears. Don, I thought the Illusionist was terrific too.

I guess we're getting unreasonable in out old age - not wanting to spend money on crummy films :-) It's funny - I love Johnny Depp and have most of his movies, but it's his acting I love - I never thought he was cute! George Clooney is a perfect example of the man I'd love to run away with :-) Back in the day, the big love of my 14 year old life was one of those guys in the band Duran Duran. I can't even remember what his name was now - not the singer, the guy with the hair and the hat... My brother got me the big box set of Monty Python's Flying Circus for my birthday, so I think we'll be satisfying our movie urges with that for awhile. BP

I went with your positive reviews of "Doris" and saw it a few days ago. It was really good. Sad, funny, poignant. It had some great moments and Sally Field was excellent. Next I'll see the Greek Wedding on Monday. Tickets are $6 on Monday. My two nieces saw Greek Wedding last night and they loved it. I'm amazed to find two movies that are any good, so thanks for all the reviews!!

Lauren and I are wanting to see Thor. She can't get her work schedule, though, from her boss. She's not answering e-mails and she never gave her a schedule. She's been calling HR all day. I also want to see Murder on the Orient Express, even with the bad reviews. Also looking forward to the new Star Wars movie and a few others I can't seem to remember at the moment.

Denny and I went to the $2.00 theater this week to see The newer Indiana Jones....the Crystal Scull.

Harrison Ford still has it in my book.
