Going for surgery tomorrow

Well I will be away from the table for a time, I am leaving for another surgery in another province tomorrow. Nothing serious, just something they would prefer done to rule things out with this neuro muscular thing. I should be up and "limping" in no time and hopefully back to work in a week or so. Not looking forward to the long day it will be travelling and surgery but not much I can do about that. Looking positive thoughts that all goes well, I'll check back as soon as possible.

P.S. Casey...save one of those "music picture" threads for when I get back haha....I really enjoyed the other two. Did you ever get a chance to them "together" yet? Maybe I missed them.

taigen I am assuming it is a muscle biopsy that you are having done. If so I hope you get the answers you need for a dx. After 5 of them over a 35 year span, I still don't have a definate dx. They know more about what to look for in such tests now, so hopefully this will be more helpful for you than when mine were done.

*sigh* Bob had another surgery today to find out what is happening with his tummy. They did find an infection and drained the fluid but have no idea if it was the result of his lung infection or if the lung infection started with his abdomen. They really couldn't see anything wrong except for the infection - no wound or problem with the incisions from his colon cancer surgery. He came out of surgery fine but complained that his tummy hurt like hell. I just hope he is finally on the road to recovery. Just to give you an idea of who Bob is, here are some pictures that capture his essence... I should have had him brush his hair before doing the Cousin It impression. We had just gotten to the hotel after a long car trip. This is the two of us together last summer... Thank you all for the well wishes! And thank you, Karen, for the inspirational picture of Jason! Sorry I'm so late checking in on Kristin's progress, Andrea! I'm just glad that it's good news I'm reading! Went out of town for 2 nights, and I've been worried sick. Yeah, a red hat would be great! Could I just add to what Rhizo said? I had hip surgery 10 years ago and I turned into a control freak like you wouldn't believe, even I didn't know I had it in me :) I pre-planned down to a gnats a**, from stamps, thank you notes, books, foods I'd made and frozen, completely spotless house and house was stocked full of anything I could think of. I had lots of offers and other than one SIL who stopped by with a latte each morning after her gym, I declined them all and was on my own until DH got home each night. Looking back, I realized it would have been a lot more generous on my part to accept some help, people who cared about me would have liked the opportunity to do something, anything. Another effect my behavior had, when things arose where they later could have used a hand, they didn't feel free to call me after my flaming show of independence. Live and learn.

Im playing phone tag with the dr right now. All I know for sure is what the voice mail said which was that they have good news for me and that I should call the office. I don't know why nobody actually answers the phones anymore. You have to leave a message and wait for a call back. I am totally not worried but would like to hear the words. I do have an appointment with the surgeon on Dec. 7. Again thank you all for the thoughts and good wishes. Its been a long couple of weeks.
