Here's mine, old picture but it's about the same. Still no curtains on the window by the bathroom and I took up the rug at the foot of the bed and put Luther's dogbed there:

Most of you probably remember seeing me post this picture when I redecorated my bedroom a few weeks ago.

North wall of bedroom on the day we closed on the house. The previous owners used this for a computer, crafts, and storage room. Yep; that's dry-rotted indoor/outdoor carpet, in 1960s burnt orange, on the floor.

Not finished, but certainly improved...

The closet doors are being replaced with ivory painted, louvered doors. Since taking this picture we've installed the crown molding, with corner blocks, and wide fluted window molding, with corner rosettes, and the wider baseboards. I gotta take more photos!

This is the west wall. In the south west corner is DH's chest of drawers.

We removed all the old paneling, woodwork, plastic baseboard, and carpeting. We re-skinned the walls, painted the ceiling and walls, installed new windows and a Pergo floor, and added all new woodwork trim.

I still want to get a new, taller bed/headboard, rearrange the chest and armoire, decide on window treatments, and add a little bling.

This was made several weeks ago. I realize that the bed is not "square" with the corner, but the bed is SO heavy and I can't move it by myself. (Sure not askin' Twinkie to help me - he'd jerk a rod loose in his back!)

Don't have one showing the whole room, but you get the idea! LOL

I thought for a minute that Mrsmarv and I had the same comforter. I do love those sconces too Caroline. Very comfy rooms folks. This is an old linen ensemble I bought at a garage sale from a lady who sews commercially. I was amazed that even the custom drapes fit my french doors. I've got too much furniture in this room. It seems to be a catch all. I need to eliminate that old recliner for sure, but seems it's my favorite place to land when I'm on the phone.

The first few years after we built, our bedroom was sadly overlooked. Then one year while DH was gone hunting for a week, I glazed the walls, added some word, tore apart our old waterbed and used part of it to build a headboard, bought new bedding and drapes, etc. He loved it and so do I. Colors are closer to what you see in the first pic.

Mrs. Marv ~ I got the sconces at Lowe's. I think they're a bit too small, but they work for now and they were available. I wanted "wall lights" to free up space on our night tables. I'm still searching for the "perfect" ones; but these work fine.

They simply plug into the outlet, the cord runs through the metal tube. They cost $17. each.

I need more things for the walls and I need to replace the pic over the bed. It was there when we had a queen sized bed and I haven't moved it so it's not even centered over the bed now. We have a high matress and I find it so hard to get a quilt or comforter that is wide enough to cover the sides of the mattress.

Moni, I got quite a chuckle out of Jerry's room -- Well, he does have his TV!!! LOL

I have the phone and he has the clock (I hate that bright light) He says he sleeps with his eyes closed -- Hummmm I wish I could do that!

How about that, you both have the phone side.

I don't have one in my bedroom. I decided, I don't want anyone to wake me up anymore. We had plenty of call out time, through Jerry's work, and enjoy the fact, those are gone with this transfer.

My alarm/clock is on my dresser, which is on the wall, that isn't shown in either picture. It's straight across from the bed.

Mine has those HUGE numbers, so I can see if from the bed without my glasses.

If I didn't have it across from the bed, I might not get up, when it goes off. LOL

Here is our master bedroom but we recently bought a new Pottery Barn duvet and pillows and new curtains and a bed skirt. The furniture looks exactly the same though. :-)

Hey, I actually have something to post on this one!
Our bedroom is tiny, so this year we finally went from a king-size bed with built-in drawers and massive headboard to a queen-sized bed.
We do have a million dollar view, though!

We even went red on one wall! And we LOVE this headboard.

I like to use my own pictures for decor.

Lovely, lovely pictures, all of them....Seeing all these rooms, just makes me want to start changing mine or better yet, getting a new house and starting from scratch!

Joan, I LOVE the way you have your curtain rods. Looks like you can move the curtains all the way off the window, and not block any light when they are open.

No one ever has them like that, and I want mine like that. Hard to describe to Jerry, without a picture. :)

Moni, you're right, we do have them so they don't block the windows. Years ago, I lived in a duplex with no east windows, and I want all the light I can get, from every direction. No sense having huge windows if you can't see out of them!

These were taken right after i finished painting it last year.I've since fixed all those cords by the bed and got a different rug and trash can.

This is just my room,dh has a different room complete with an aquarium for his tropical fish.
