Ken passed away this morning 9/4 at around 3:00.

Thank you for your support and all the prayers sent to JoAnn and her family!

My dad, in his eighties, had a bad stroke, eventually going to hospice. We expected him to pass away, but he improved, went home and continued to improve. That was almost two years ago and he is still doing okay. I know Ken is in good hands, and it helps so much that you are by his side. I wish the very best for you both!

Flamey, thank you! senior gal, I'm right here in your shadow; always enjoy your stories. mamagoose, I got my first computer a little before Spike (Bless his heart!) began the KT, and was one of the first 3 or 4 to jump right in. sherwoodva, based on your screen name I would guess you are only about 2 hours away from the shops. It is definitely DIRT! I will clean it... but guess, for now I will quit agonizing about it. Got to much other stuff to do. Got internet today. The adjuster for the insurance company came and took pictures, to verify my info (over the phone only), went to Verizon, AT&T, back to Verizon and back to AT&T to get an Oklahoma phone number. The whole day is gone, and I only vacuumed, like I told about earlier. Oh, no, I forgot, also got a haircut. I feel like I didn't get anything done, but I am also wiped out. Yes, Elmer, I plan to put grout sealer on, once I get it clean. Thanks everyone for your suggestion... even though I already tried bar keepers friend... and it just doesn't cut it. It's just plain DIRTY! I will prolly try the peroxide and baking soda. I was very impressed with the GREAT job the peroxide did on the smelly furniture. over and out for now. :) Moni

I am glad you are home and doing better. The pain will go away, and you will feel like a new woman! JoAnn_Fla, I know many people that after the surgery site has healed have no pain from the pacemaker itself. My mom was thin and bony in that area, and complained about it hurting for years after it was put in. But it might also have been something that her mind grabbed hold of to complain about. She has alzheimer's and looking back, it started before she had it put in, and with her, it has been a litany of complaints, continuously. That is just the way the desease has worked on her. Now, she can't even complain. She is sleeping almost continuously, and not eating or drinking, except for tiny tiny amounts. We won't have her much longer. Having said all that about mom, I think that it's possible that the device might be too big for a small person, and cause some pain, but I don't know. I'm not sure how long ago mom's was put in, but at least 5 years ago. They are probably improved so much by now, and made smaller, that it wouldn't be a problem.
