hello from a very wet nc!

We are on our fall trip. Started in Gettysburg, Williamsburg, then to the Outer Banks. Had some rain on Hatteras, and got some cool pics of the lighthouse at night with lightening highlighting it. Internet is iffy, but today is better than what we've had. We moved inland yesterday to New Bern. I put my little rain gauge out before we went exploring about 4 pm yesterday. Before 8 am today, I don't know when, it was overflowing. I don't remember how much it holds, but maybe 3-4 inches? It hasn't quit yet. Looks like it will be tomorrow before it does. Sirens went off at 8 am, but we don't know why. No contact whatso ever with the campground people, even to pay our bill. We have left phone messages, with no return calls or no one showing up. So that means we have no idea where to go if needed. Office is locked up. The wind wasn't bad, so we figured it was for flooding. Weather radio is set for alerts, and that is all that we have heard about, tho there was a tornado watch. Also keeping track of the weather channel and radar. Will be reading to see if you all have been good while I've been missing. Prayers and thoughts, happy birthdays and anniversaries to all.

Tami
