Thanks for recommending "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead"

Was it Chi83 who recommended this movie? Whoever it was, thanks! I finished watching it last night, and liked it a lot. It was surprisingly entertaining, considering the subject matter, and of course it was inspiring. I'm glad I recently resurrected my juicer! It was great seeing how many lives these guys changed during the making of this movie.

I can't own up to suggesting it, but I will thank you alisande! I do spend my life on the rim of autoimmune disorders, but then, I don't eat incredibly wrong. I have to say, if I ate everything wrong, I'd probably be deep in the heart of autoimmune. I'm much much heavier than I want/need to be. I want to change the one or two wrong things permanently. I cannot believe that it's making that much difference, but it is. It could be that if I replaced the main one wrong thing I do every day with a juice instead, it could really help. Wish me luck!

k8 ~ as with all markers, test-wash first! After the fabric is prepped, use a small scrap to mark. Then iron it, wash it, dry it, iron again after washing, mark/starch/iron; -- and freeze it if there is a chance it will exposed to low temps. If you are using a dry-clean-only fabric, sweet-talk the dry cleaner into cleaning the marked scrap along with a regular load. My rule of thumb is that if marks re-appear at any stage, either don't use the marker, or only in seam allowances. So far, Frixon has passed all my tests, but check every fabric anyhow because some day the pen's formula might change and we don't want an unpleasant surprise.

Last year I was looking for a replacement for our old apple tree. I wound up putting a Stewartia there (doing ok, had some winter dieback), but you guys also recommended the Daybreak. I had another open spot, and I'm so glad I put it in! It's small, but has been blooming for about 2 weeks and we've had some pretty wet weather and a cold winter for sure. I really appreciate all the good advice and everyone's willingness to help because I have no idea what I'm doing :) Julie

Lisa G, you know they let us do? For $35, they will send you a sample of the bright white and the warm white. It was great to be able to try them side by side. (They refund the money when you send them back.) We were concerned that the warm would be too yellow, but it wasn't. The natural white is very cool and would probably look good in a modern setting. But we've got a traditional house and the warm white is more appropriate for us. The natural white seems brighter, but then when you turn on the warm white, it's just as bright--but a more pleasant hue. No greenish tinge. The CRI is something like 87% which is very good.

I didn't recommend it, but I saw it on PBS...I think. Saw it somewhere anyway. I was really happy to see the other guy....the trucker...make the transformation in his life.
