I have 2 young men who offered me a kidney,Our blood type matches,They need to have testing done.But yes imagagine 2,one is from texas,Say a prayer this is my angel finally.You have to keep all crossed till I hear otherwise...

Hello, I'm a newbie here. Someone locally refered me to the TN forum and now I have found my way over here as I have an extreem love of lilies. Not only am I a newbie to this website I am a newbie to gardening. I purchased my first house a couple years ago, and in the process of trying to spruce up the outside I discovered i love gardening. Okay...I just need to vent a bit. I'm so ready for this to be over with... We were supposed to receive loan committment this past Friday (4/13). Well, our agent talked to their mortgage company and found out she isn't going to be able to get everything ready until maybe this Wednesday (4/18). We did find out that there are no FHA predications...but haven't seen that in writing just yet. They are still supposed to close on the house they are selling on Friday 4/20. I wonder if our closing will really happen a week from today. Our agent told theirs that we're not agreeing to anything else or doing anything else until we get loan committment. So we still have the one minor thing on the list (relocate the exhaust fan in the basement bathroom) that we verbally agreed to exchange for letting them move in the garage. If we don't receive loan committment until Wed, they could get ticked at us for not letting them move into house and decide they want the fan relocated afterall. Relocating the fan isn't a huge problem...just time consuming and we just don't want to deal with it. They even said it wasn't a big deal to them. I don't want it to cause any problems though. I think we should just go ahead and relo it now and be done with it and forget the whole verbal agreement. Something about it just doesn't sit right with me. Thanks for letting me vent :o)

don't get one on the internet! and i'd go with a home equity with a fixed rate conversion option. you'll find these at the major lenders. if you have enough equity using your tax assessed value for the loan, the costs to put the deal together should be quite cheap...and it cam be done within a week or so. if an appraisal needs to be pulled, that will take a couple of weeks longer. loans are very individual though. i'd go to where you have a relationship already and start there, then check out a couple of the big guys for comparison. be sure to compare apr verses the actual rate though so that you are comparing apples to apples!

Wow-incredible news! Are they people you know, or is it a round robin type thing? Crossing everything hoping you get a match. How soon would you know?? Imagine all the extra time you would have without dialysis, not to mention how much better you would feel!

I got on a website where people tell what type kidney they need and tell a little about yourself and 2 guys offered the one said he was touched by my lifes story ,he was one of the first responders to 9-11.The other is from Texas.
Now they must call the hospital Im having the surgery at and theyll cross match if hes good they have a battery of tests then surgery,I need an A or O,they both are A but tissue match etc yet.My horoscope said something big Ive been waiting for a long time will come in September....do you think???Im afraid to get excited.Thank you all for your support, means more than you know...

Well I just got email from one donor, he wants 60,000 dollars...What do you think of that?My insurance pays for his testing and transplant.The other said he doesnt want anything.He said meet me half way..not sure if that means 120,000 total??????oh my...I could just cry that someone would play with your life like this.

Accepting payment for an organ donation is illegal in this country.
I'm sure your surgeon(and other doctors) would not agree to participate in an illegal transaction.

Keeping the prayers coming. Hope they will do it for nothing. Prayers that the one truly wants nothing. Maybe he just wants basic expenses paid. $60,000? for the other guy? I don't think so. Sounds like he's a scammer. I hope not. How mean to raise hope like that.

Bulldinkie, what he is asking for is ILLEGAL! Regardless of how he might spin it, it's illegal. Please report him on that website.

Which one is it that is asking for money? Is it the one from Texas or the (claimed) 9/11 first responder? Please, please be careful. How horrible for someone to try to take advantage (to their own advantage!) of people who are already going through so much.

My advice (even though you didn't ask for it!) is to have NO further conversation with the one who is telling you he wants money. Regardless of how much you need this, do not interact with him.

I don't think you're going to find anyone on a website who is just going to up and donate their kidney. If they really wanted to do it, they'd have registered on a legitimate registry.

Please be careful. There are people out there who are preying on the misfortune and desperation of others.

I agree - report these people to the website owner. And please be aware that only legitimate sources are going to give you real hope.

Its the one from texas ,he said some hurtful things too,he said my husbasnd must not love me too much if he cant pay out what he wants,yesterday I was sitting at dialysis,got to thinking ,I broke down 3 times.He wasfrom Texas.
The other one said he doesnt want anything.
