1. Babysitting my two youngest grand children all day. Jack 15 months and Clare 2 1/2 years.

2. Hopefully take a nap-all three of us

3. Have dinner with my family at my daughters house this evening.

Seems a lot of us liked our paper dolls. I remember when you could go to the five and dime (we had two, Danner's and Ben Franklin's) and buy a whole booklet for a dime. Of course, a dime was pretty hard to come by back in those days and when you were 7 or 8. We cut furniture out of old Sears and Penney's catalogs and make pretend rooms. I read a lot, too. Like YogaLady, we got library cards very young. The library had a summer reading club. If you read 10 books and gave an oral book report to the librarian you got to go on a picnic at the end of summer. I usually had read at least double that amount. We also played games. We played riddle-dee-dee, I see something you don't see. Then you would give a hint--like it begins with a "B". When we would go to Grandma J's, she'd play cards with us. Mainly "War" which can last forever--bless her heart. Summer was for bike riding--with some friends we used to ride 5 miles out into the country to my grandparents' farm. We'd go to the creek to cool off and explore the woods. This was in 7-8 grades. Winter was sledding and ice skating at Herkles pond. Usually a fire to warm us when needed and hot chocolate in thermos bottles. Gosh, sometimes it'd be fun to be young again.

Yesterday I played 18 holes of golf and then had lunch with the ladies I played with. Returned some shorts I bought for DH. Then returned books to the library. Played duplicate bridge in the evening (partner and I came in 2nd) Then came home and watched DWTS which was taped.

1. Anything that once walked around on land 2. Anything stuffed inside something that once walked around on land. 3. Anything with sweet potatoes/yams. Especially canned with marshmallows on it. We'll be eating with my boyfriend's family. I have to work that day so it makes it hard for me to contribute something actually vegetarian (I'll try and make something the night before). These kind of meals are difficult for vegetarians when meat eaters sometimes don't quite get that something might not be vegetarian just because it doesn't have big hunks of meat in it, ie....chicken stock, bacon bits, etc. Some people put some sort of animal product in everything they make, even the vegetables. Which is fine, just makes things trickier for me. All my sisters are vegetarians (or pesca-tarians), so our holidays meals are filled with tons of delicious vegetarian dishes, but being the only one is a whole different ball game.

'harvest' some of the zoysia creeping over my driveway and move it to bare spots of the lawn.

Water the plants to use up some of the rain in the barrels--we're getting more later in the day, need to make room for it.

Replace facet set on bathroom lavatory.

Reset bathroom lavatory bowl.

Replace kitchen faucets.

we've been in this house too long. Repairs have appeared. Had anti-ice-dam sheets put on roof and new shingles last year. The water softner is next. It was built over the winter of 1975-75 and we took posession summer of 1976. We;ve been here ever since.

Three of the many things I had planned to do today:

Help DD clean house.

Bring her laundry home so I can wash, dry and fold it and take it back to her on Sunday. (She lives two hours away.)
She has a two year old, works as an attorney full-time and is teaching a college course. I try to help her whenever I can.

Stop by Bed, Bath & Beyond and buy a new spatula.

Did all three of those today and a whole lot more!

Deposit stock dividend cheque into bank account ... I'd wanted to bring beer cans to turn in for a dime each at the beer store ... but not enough room, along with the veggies.

Deliver a bunch of tomatoes to son's companion's house ... which I was supposed to do yesterday, but (within about 10 min.) forgot.

Deliver veggies to a social agency.

Do some print at library.

Stake/string tomato plants.
