Spaghettini with Spring Asparagus

8 oz spaghettini

2 cups asparagus, cut in 1" pieces

1/4 cup olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp finely chopped parsley

pinch crushed red pepper flakes

1 cup chicken broth

Cook pasta, adding asparagus the last minute of cooking.

In a large deep skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook garlic 1 minute. Add the parsley and red pepper flakes and cook 30 seconds. Stir in the broth and bring to a simmer.

Remove from heat and toss in the drained spaghettini and asparagus. Season with salt and pepper and parmesan.
