I'm pretty happy with mine. I didn't want a bifold door on it because I wanted full access to the width, but I could not convince my cabinet maker to put in a liftable door (not sure what it's called). He was sure that it wouldn't lift up high enough to not have it be a head banger when open. The bifolds are ok, but sometimes I wish the door wasn't there. At some point, I changed the design so that there was counter in front of it and I'm very happy I did that. It makes the whole vanity usable, so I can set something there if needed and gives me a place to pull things out onto the counter to use or see them better. I mostly use it for a jewelry cleaner, which keeps my retainers clean and my Sonicare and Mentadent dispenser. I don't really use a hair dryer too often, but it's plugged in and ready to go. Oh, I also put in double outlets, just so I'd have enough. Hope this helps.

Hi Tuesday, thanks for the compliment about the bathroom. I have "Swedish finish" on it - not the water soluble one that is being used mostly these days. I wanted it the same as the rest of the house because I knew what to expect and have no experience with the water soluble one (even though I prefer a less toxic choice usually). I had a cat that had some urinary tract problems for a number of years and without going into too much detail, even cat urine that sat for a while before I saw it or came home to clean it up, never penetrated or affected the finish. It looks like from what I see online that poly is even more durable, as it's used on gym floors, etc. I use LOTS of hair products (am a former hairdresser :); I have a good sized rug in front of the vanity, but spray does get on the floor. It doesn't faze it. I could clean it with the cleaner designed for this brand of finish (which I use once in a while on other areas of the house), but honestly, it wipes up with a damp cloth and water if you use a water soluble hairspray, which most are these days. When people wonder about keeping the hw clean, I tell them that nothing sticks to it and it really does clean up like formica. it is a slick (but not slippery) surface. I think you will love it.

Yeah the $39 is the kicker. :) It has been a few days since I've seen it but I'm going to guesstimate that mirror was about 30" x 30", maybe a tad smaller. Definitely call them before you drive. There's no telling what they have on any given day. And like anywhere, the help you get really depends on the person who answers, so maybe ask for a store manager. If mothing else I'm sure I could run it to FedEx for you. :)

These kinds of things definitely make one's home unique. I have one of my grandmother's and one of DH's grandmother's crocheted doillies framed and hung together. It seems strange to tell my grandson and granddaughter that their great-great grandmothers did them. You're very thoughtful to have looked up those pictures. Dee
