I love baseball - it's my favorite sport. I understand the rules of the game better than many men.

I'm not as much a sports fan as I used to be. There was a time when I would not miss a Memphis State, now called University of Memphis, basketball or football game. They were a big deal and a group of my co-workers and I went to all local games and usually gathered at someone's home to watch the out of town games on tv. When we started working so many 12 and 16 hour shifts we gave it up.
Since I retired last December I have watched a few ball games, but not like I used to.

No not really a sports fan. I don't have a favorite or the time to spend watching tv. My girls do keep me busy tho. We rode our horses yesterday for a while. This week the girls will do various sports too. Cross country meet and ballet for one, Volley ball and clogging for the other. One likes basketball, softball and horseback riding during their seasons. The other does track.
I should be the one who does a sport, mainly to keep in shape but motherhood has taken over. I'm a taxi driver now.

We do cheer on the UNL football (Nebraska). That's always fun.

I don't like sports and don't see what all the fuss is about. It's just a game. You've seen one, you've seen them all. Don't even get me started on the salaries the pros are paid.

I love college basketball. Go CARDS!!!! Louisville Cardinal fan big time. I have been a Cardinal fan since before my DD was born, now 18 years later she goes to school there. Of course I encouraged her to go there, but her options where wide open, when she chose University of Louisville it was one of my proudest moments. Now when we go to the games I will have two great reasons to go, one to see my DD and the other, to see my fav team. Life is good

This time of the year I look forward to the football season, watch collage (Roll Tide) on Saturdays and the Pros on Sundays plus Nascar, my husband got me interested when he was alive. I still buy the NFL Sunday Ticket as for other sports am not interested.

My favorite team is the Denver Broncos, next is Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and Texas Aggies. I like baseball best cause it's slow paced enough that I can see it. And I like basketball cause it's indoors in air conditioning. :)

I spent many hours at baseball & soccer fields, and now see DGS's games as often as I can. DGD is on the high school volleyball team and that's fun to watch too. I love seeing the kids play.

Not really. I generally have better things to do, then sit and watch.

I used to watch soccer, specially live, back when I lived in Germany.

But, I do enjoy the Olympics, while they are on.

The only sport I am interested in is dumpster diving, but I have pretty much quit that. However, I did stop by the road a couple of days ago and pick up two angel statues that someone had put out with the rubble. They hold bowls for bird seed, and the bottoms are out of the bowls, but I figured I'd glue a coffee can lid in the bottom or something, and set them out in my yard.

I will watch football - I figured if you can't beat em join em.

I am an absolute San Jose Sharks FANatic and will rearrange my schedule when needed to include a game. If they are on, I'm watching or listening via the Internet or radio.

I grew up in the Bay Area, so it has always been about Bay Area sports for me. Although I am not a Warriors, or Sacramento Kings fan at all. I was fortunate enough to work as an usher for the 49'ers for three seasons in the early 90's and that solidified my love of football. I admit though it has been tough to be a Bay Area fan these last few years, but I'm hanging in there.

I spend most of my energy cheering for my boys and their football team ( The Niners) My husband is the president of the football board and I designed and run the team website.

No, I am not a sports fan. What dotmom said about sums it up for me. I did enjoy baseball some years ago, but it has been ruined by the actions of the players. It is no longer an honest game. And I resent the way 'sports' news has invaded the 'news' news. I live in "Steelers country" and since they won the pennant, cup, whatever(?) a couple of years ago, it seems that every newscast from Pittsburgh begins with something, no matter how trivial about the steelers. Then we hear 3 or 4 minutes of real news and commercials to be followed by more trivial Steelers news. Then before the next commercial the sports newscastor says "more about the Steelers on sports coming up in 10 minutes". Geeze! I wish they would give it a rest already!

I'm not a sports fan, except to maybe watch Nebraska play football on TV. The past few years, they've been in the toilet. Hopefully they'll do better this year.
What I hate though is when they have football on 1 main channel, golf on another and NASCAR on the third. Why not a good movie on Sunday afternoon? Especially in the winter.

Not much of a sportsfan. I like baseball, hockey, maybe once in a while basketball game . But I do not understand the rules of football. I spend my Sundays cleaning and cooking, not watching football.

Nope, neither is hubby. Thank goodness, although I guess if one of us had been an ardent fan from the beginning (47 years ago)the other one would have caved in by now and become one.

No, not a sports fan. I have been to a few St. Louis Cardinal games... but enjoyed the people watching and beer drinking and not the game. I'll sit and watch the Superbowl, but really only like the commercials.

Understanding the game wouldn't make me like it any better.

I only watch baseball and golf on TV. And only watch the New York Yankees play. I have been a fan for over 58 years. I am so glad I got to see Mickey Mantle play at Angels Anaheim Statium his last season and even more glad I got to see Mariano Rivera pitch at Yankee Stadium.
I watched the last game played (last night) at the old Yankee Stadium. Sigh......

Hubby and I love Virginia Tech Football!! We are both alumni. Hubby likes all sports, but usually gets bored sitting on the couch after a while and moves on to something else.

I like watching most sports, especially live. DH LOVES golf, which seems fairly boring to me, but I can appreciate the game (for a little while!)

No,not at all. I grew tired of my dad yelling during sporting events and I had absolutely no interest in sports. I was the girl who hid under her desk when the teacher selected teams for outdoor games.

I now have a 15 year old son who is worse than my dad ever was. He gets so intense during certain games and I just want to cover my ears. Even my DH said we needed to leave this past weekend when Oregon was losing.

No interest at all.

Am I a fan, Yep, I was a 3 sport letter winner in high school as well as a cheerleader all 4 years if high school. I love any and all sports. DH is the Activities director so we go to all our high school activities, we are gone at least 3-4 games a week. And our oldest is only 5 so it will be a long haul with all the activities. Tonight we go to watch 2 volleyball games, Friday football, Saturday volleyball all day long, and then cheer on the Huskers that night. Will start all over again on Monday and watch junior high and jv sports. Oh and Wednesday this week we will watch the Husker volleyball team take on Kansas on tv.

I've followed the Phillies since 1959.
Had 2 season tickets, first row behind the Phillies dugout for forty years....1973-2003.
I have my own two seats from Vet stadium right here in my family room...got them when the stadium was torn down.
The night we won the 1980 World Series(I was at the game, of course) was the greatest night of my life...honest.

So...I guess I am a fan.

Living in SW Pa, you're born a Steeler fan...Married to an Irish man, you are a Notre Dame fan...We are very big sports fans in this house, mostly football...When the kids were in college, it got pretty interesting on Sat. afternoons..My DH rooting for ND, another son graduating from Penn State, another from Pitt and the 3rd from West Virginia...I rooted for all the bands! Now I have grand kids at Penn State, Pitt and Shippensburg and follow those teams, as well as the Steelers and N.D.....Love those fall football weekends...

I grew up listening to baseball with my Daddy on the radio, and later when we got electricity I watched it on TV with him. In high school, I went to every basketball and football game. My best friend was a complete nut and, no kidding, had memorized every little piece of stats about all the college and pro teams since the game was first invented. Drove me nuts and bored me to tears, but at least I knew how the game was played.

Now I rarely do unless DH has the games on TV, but between plays and at halftimes, he channel surfs and that drives me crazy!!!!!!! So I just read or find something else to do.

I'll probably get flogged for this (or probably swatted even) but I absolutely hate sports. The only thing I can watch is probably nascar as it only involves a track and cars going round and round and round in a circle....pretty boring.....but I still think Jeff Gordon is cute until he opens his mouth and starts talking..... I'd rather be gardening or playing with my dogs.....

I have grown to hate sports! Never missed a game my kids participated in when they were young, but so resent the big 3 regular TV stations broadcasting games & their being considered more important than National news when this country has more than one real crisis going on. Aren't all those stations devoted soley to sport enough for goodness sake?
In addition to all the time for the game, they wanna replay/analyze the whole thing for half an hour afterwards. Add all the reasons dotmom mentioned.

Teresa, Guess those VT guys are a happy bunch today. UNL has been known to have great come backs in the past but I'm not sure they can do that anymore. I hope they get their momentum back when DS is in college.

My favorite is Australian Rules Football which we used to get about ten years ago in the States but not anymore. I was worn out yesterday watching the Florida Football teams

I never liked watching sports, of any kind. I do understand the rules of all the major U.S. sports, I just find it all tedious. I especially can't stand to attend a live game of any sort, where you're trapped for hours.

Not at all, never watch, don't want to watch. But most of the Olympic events are ok. I did enjoy soccer and baseball when my kids played, though. Big game on TV last week, friends came over. I went to the mall.

Crisp fall air, the wonderful smell of tailgating wafting thru the air, omg the food these tailgaters come up with...I have never tailgated but I LOVE the smell of BBQ in the autumn air. Team colors displayed everywhere....

how can you not love the excitement of going to a football game. I just love this time of year. Go GIANTS!!!!!
