My stomach won't tolerate anti-inflammatories either, but there is an Ibuprofen creme that is absorbed through the skin and it works VERY well. Before I had a knee replacement it was the only thing I could use to lesson the swelling. BioEntopic 15% Ibuprofen Creme. Nobody wants to hear this but for a high percentage of the people with arthritis symptoms simply eliminating foods of the nightshade family works like a miracle. My knee was like the canary in the coal mine to tell me what my system was sensitive too. If I ate tomatoes or peppers, and to a lesser degree, potatoes (processed potatoes were worse, like potato chips) about three or four days latter my knee would swell so much that I couldn't walk. A registered nurse clued me in on the nightshade thing. Only a few M.D.s will tell you. Once on vacation we were served Thia food in someone's home (hot peppers!) and I came home in a wheel chair. At least we got to go to the front of a long line at the air port, LOL! After knee replacement if I indulge in foods of nightshade family the affect is that my joints are very achy and stiff. Tina, the hernia is right above a scar from gallbladder surgery I had years ago, Orthoscopic, and he said it could be from that, which is what you described. He also firmly believes coughing causes hernias, and I wouldn't be surprised because I have asthma and cough sometimes. Mona, it doesn't really hurt, I noticed it hurt some this morning when I bent down. Other than that, I can't tell I have it. No one can see it unless I were to wear a tight shirt. That I will NOT do. lol. It's about the size of an oval golfball, I was told it's small compared to other hernias. I'm going to try to give it a month or so and see what happens. If the pain increases, I'll definitely go see a surgeon about this. It could be a combination of both. Wodka, where is your mother's located at? Maybe this is karma for me cause knowing me, when I was a kid I probably laughed at old ladies with "bumps." lol. Karma has always came back to bite me. :)

If you live in CA. they go across border into Mexico & pharmacy is near the border, go around the corner & they have a DR. that will write up prescription but not for narcotics & some other drugs. I told her not to go there but she said she had to have it, crossed the border & was back over here- within the hour. but it wasn't TJ it was towards AZ I think, very small town. If there are busloads they must be doing something similar , I tried to get a drug from Canada that my dr. had been giving me for yrs for migraines but Canadian pharmacy said illegal to take it across border by mail (or any other way).

yeah, I was in shock because I had an a okay from the doc in the later part of November, but there is really no way to tell for sure if it's back without scans. No real tumor markers in the blood like there are for other cancers. Just the one blood test that can indicate there might be a problem if there are some higer levels of(insert something I can't pronounce and therefore can sound out to spell it.. here! LOL) and that was totally normal. yep, Terri, its not a fast grower. But as the doc told me my first visit a few years ago, there is also no cure. So, I just hope that the little buggers don't get resistant to the fun little chemicals! LOL I'll play a little video blaster game in my head while taking chemo! lol But, we might watch this for a while too. It's just one lymph node, and there were a lot more involved last time. But apparently this one is HUGE HUGE HUGE! Yeah, I always say, more is more! I don't believe the old saying , less is more! So, hopeing that there are no more little buggers in the new scans. Thanks for the prayers everyone! Darn! I jUST found a great new hair stylist for my last 3 cuts that I LOVE! And at fantastic Sams no less... and incredible cut for $20 bucks! Beats every $75 cut I've had lately! lol Oh, and guess what? Baseball season starts today. Ryan's team is travelling to Tennesse today for their first games! Sheesh! seems so early and so cold!
