I love my Eureka Upright, they come in corded and cordless. They're sold at Target.

I have the Bissel 3 in 1 sweeper. It's not cordless. It's my second one.

I also have a swivel sweeper rechargeable, but for what you are asking for check out the bissel 3 in 1.

I just purchased a Hoover floormate wet & dry vac. It's not cordless, those would have to be recharged. It has a really long cord tho.... GREAT suction, brush action with water if you want it......I have it stored in my front closet (the handle folds up)and plan on using it on the tiled floors at my rental as well.

I have the Bissel, which is corded and I love it. I've purchased cordless ones and don't like them at all - the batteries are worthless - don't hold a charge for long and they have little power. I use mine on my hardwood and tile, picking up sand, and it works like a charm!!!

I have the dirt devil corded (converts to hand vac), and also the swiffer cordless. The swiffer cordless is ok, for something really quick like crumbs by a high chair, but, the tiny cup doesnt hold enough to do a lot with it. The dirt devil, works great, and I would buy it again. I dont know the model of it, without digging it out of the closet. Its red in color.

I have a Sharp rechargeable that I like, though I have to keep it plugged in all the time or it only lasts for a minute.

Well I appreciate the input, but there's really no consensus here. So I am not sure what to do.

I have definitely decided I want CORDLESS. I want to spend less than $75, so if the battery wears out I will just throw the whole thing away and buy a new sweeper..

I guess I'll go back to wally world and look them over. I am 1.5 hours away from a Target.

I just went out and bought the Bissel 3 in 1 today and I like it. It's
very light weight but has a lot of suction. The cord is short enough so it's not in the way and it picks up all the little stuff on the kitchen floor that drives me nuts, whether it's crumbs or kitty litter in the hallway. And it's short enough that it fits in my broom closet. I always have to put the Swiffer in at an angle. I'm happy.

I'm trying to decide between the Bissell 3-in-1 and the Swivel Sweeper Max for use on carpeted steps. The Swivel Sweeper looks like the best but will I have enough charge to do the entire staircase (total steps: 12)? Any advice would be appreciated! :-)
