This person did come a long way, but talk too fast for me. I think they both have a lot going for them. Kinda sorta wish the other one would've won tho.

The other one talked *way* faster, though. My niece kept saying, "I can't understand what s/he is saying!"

Speaking of, I was just thinking how none of the other past winners amounted to much. Thay had a show a few times and just dissapeared. I don't like last years winner at all.

Wonder what happens to them.

I loved all of the final four but liked Emily from day one. She's beautiful quirky and the best designer. Sure beats last years guy. Cannot stand him. Love David tho.

I disagree. David Bromstad, who won Season 1 in 2006, is amazing. His show, Color Splash, debuted in March 2007, and now in 2010 he has Color Splash Miami. He is a genuine success.

I didn't know David Bromstad was the first Design Star winner! I guess I didn't start watching till last year or the year before. Antonio won 2009, who won 2007 and 2008??

And which one won? I fell asleep the last fifteen minutes, I was so mad at myself, please reveal, it is over now.....

I'm glad she won! The guy talked WAY to fast!! I wish I had an ounce of their talent for decorating!!

I was never really drawn into Emily. I think she's a great designer but she didnt really do much for me otherwise. I thought Michael was adorable. He was quirky and did talk fast but he seemed so sweet. But I really liked Courtland.

Antonio's show was on last night--don't know the name of it but it was around 11:00, I think. I love David. Sure wish he'd paint a picture for me.

I watch HGTV a lot but always turn the channel when Antonio or David are on.

I didn't realize David was a past winner either.

He is my favorite designer on HGTV and really the only show I watch anymore. I too would give anything for some of his art.

But the other winners have pretty much been flops, a few shows and never to be heard from again.

David was the first winner. His was the only Design Star series that I saw from beginning to end. He was great all the way through. Hmmm.... and such a cutie too! I'm surprised no one mentioned him on the handsomest man thread. Or maybe I missed it :-)

There was a girl after that, curly hair, Kim Myles... I just looked her up. Her show was Myles of Style. I watched it a few times but could never get into it. I'm not sure whether it's still on or not. Then, if there was anyone between her and Antonio, I missed them. I've only seen Antonio's show a time or two but he doesn't really do it for me either.

David's show, I like. I hope Emily does well.

Jennifer had a very ill child after she won, her show was cancelled, she now spends her time taking care of her son. Myles of Style comes on Friday afternoons.

Never heard of Jennifer, love David, don't care for Kim..but think Emily is a sure fire winner. Liked Michael Casey and Courtland as well. Would have been happy with any of them but Emily's taste conforms to mine.

Steph, you and I think alike! Courtland was my favorite too, I thought he was the total package. His downfall was not speaking up for himself during challenges. Maybe Emily will hire him as her carpenter :)
