What I mean is, there are several recent posters that are very critical to others, stating facts that may or may not be true. They have been members of GW, but are "new to KT". Like FMW--some of you don't realize that relatives of fireman and police officers do not and cannot release information about the families. Again, they see things in their jobs that most of the people will never see. They cannot and will not discuss their jobs at home and that is why the divorce rate and suicide rate is higher than most other jobs. Yes, it is ok to suggest, softly discipline, inform etc, but remember what ever you post here WILL stay on the Internet for many years. Only YOU can make this a fun and informative forum again. Look and see who does not post much and what WE have lost because of this.

You've confused me, crabapple. Wow - you've got lots of sentences in that post and they may all be sort of related, I guess, but they have nothing to do with what you first said in this thread nor do they answer any of the questions that you were asked. I am not trying to be rude by saying "huh?", but could you please try again?

People come & go & sometimes come back again to the KT... same name or different. The KT has been here since 1998 (despite some peoples' proclamations of having been here 15 years, etc), it's undergone upheavals much worse than this..... and SURVIVED. This is just a minor blip in the big scheme of things.

I can remember some people having such a hard time coming to grips with Tahni's epic "novel" postings. They just couldn't believe she lied. I'll bet there are still some out there who still feel that way. Some are like that. Some ~never~ learn that it is best to have a bit of skepticism when you read something that "sounds too good to be true".

I'm guessing crabapple-hard means we 'meanies' have chased FW off the forum by questioning the truth of her ever-changing story -- although FW will almost certainly reappear, don't you think?)

My DS is a paramedic. I have longtime friends who have been on police and fire forces for many years. They are honest people who are not afraid to answer honest questions. They are also quite detail-oriented; it's part of their training. Nobody asked FW identifying information. We asked her to clarify facts that any person in the process of adopting would know -- know by heart!

I interpreted FW as saying she wouldn't be posting about the girls any more, it didn't seem to me that she was saying she was leaving the KT. I could be wrong.

There is nothing cryptic about the message. It isn't cryptic to those of us who respect privacy, understand the need for it and actually take time to read what one is trying to say instead of seeing only what we want or looking for kinks in peoples armor.

Bottom line is that if FMWs posted pretty pictures of some random girls "everyone" would be taking it at face value. But because she uses words and gets gets things out of order a bit and juxtaposes some legalize along with giving detailed info of her family's family's excitement she is suspect.

No, she's suspect because she contradicted herself several times. Never asked for pictures... I still wouldn't believe it because it just doesn't ring true to me.

Wildchild - When I said Cryptic, I was referring to the OP's statement of "another member gone, three this week". What I said had NOTHING to do with FMW and how that was taken from my post is beyond me. I have been supportive of FMW!

Some people believe the story, that is okay, some people doubt it that is okay, but if FMW feels a need to come up with what you believe to be an outrageous story to tell all of us after years of being here and posting, why shouldn't we feel sorry for her for needing to lie. She didn't ask for money, she didn't ask for help and she sure as h#$$ didn't ask to be attacked.

Honestly, that is ridiculous. I'm not necessarily talking about FW, but in general It is not healthy or normal to support an outrageous, elaborate lie. Now, I do agree that any person who behaves in that way probably deserves compassion, but they should also expect to be called on discrepancies, as it takes a toll on people who invest emotionally in someone's life, only to find they've been mislead and toyed with. As far as this specific situation, I have no idea what's going on, but everyone should be entitled to their opinion without being called "mean" or anything else.

Trisha, all you have to do is right click on the image and click on "save image as" then put it someplace in your computer. Now upload it to your photo storage site and you can use it on the web.

You can just save it from my post...with Firefox, I would just right click on the pic, and choose "save image as" and go from there.
