I wish I knew how to properly post this rather than just copy and paste, but I've misplace the paper I wrote on that told me how to do it.

Basically, the article says that if you take a picture with an iphone or anything with gps capability, your exact location is captured and can be deciphered. It is also rather tricky to disable. Shoot, nothing, but nothing is private anymore.

yup! most cells phones already have that capacity. i recently got a Nikon camera that has an accessory that Geotag's but after a bit of research i found out the camera actually already does this. i was happy about it but DH who is a security/privacy fanatic was shocked the camera recorded/embedded the info w/o the $100 accessory.

this doesn't bother me but i do understand those who are. i think of this as another 'security' measure. i am actually shocked by how many stupid people there are who do things that are illegal or wrong then get caught thru technology but I LOVE IT LOL. hellooooo cameras, tracking, computers all of it is everywhere you can not get away from it in this country, you will eventually get caught. there are of course good sides to every bad part of technology. i grew up in an environment where i was always told everyone was watching us (political) we never ever knew privacy. 13 yrs after i moved away from chicago i finally had a trip back this past june where some stranger didn't bother me w/ questioning. ~ liz

My sisters and BIL's in N.Y. are constantly battleing deer,they eat everything in site,they even came up on one sisters porch and ate what she had in hanging baskets.They have everything people have told them to doto try and discourage them.One BIL went to the 99 cent store,bought a case of irish spring soap,drilled holes in them and hung them all around his garden,it worked for a short while,then i guess they became immune to it. MY BIL was always complaining about them so much,that i went out and bought some fabric with deer all over it and made him a throw blanket,and on the back i put "for the love of Bambi",as he was always saying he wished he could shoot that da** Bambi.My sister was supposed to take a picture when he opened it,but she forgot!! bummer,as i'm sure that was a priceless picture. kathi PS i guess we all fight something,for us it's those darn Gophers,hate them.

mzdee, my paniculatas get sun all day, from when the sun clears the trees around 9 or 9:30 am until 8 or so in the evening at this time of year. No issues here, so they can take a fair amount of sun even in zone 6. You are a zone or zone and a half warmer, so YMMV, but I have found them totally sun tolerant here in central NH. Quickfire is a real favorite in my garden. I love the lacy froth of flowers and the rich fall color. I planted a couple of clematis just outside the drip line of mine and they climb up into the hydrangea and have mingled blooms. Here is Quickfire with clematis Little Bas.

Yup, I hit this problem in July when my 15 year old Maytag washer died.
