I like to hear what's going on in everyone's lives.
I feel like I know almost everyone personally, and when things go bad I feel horrible. When things are good, I feel so happy for them.

I get ideas, answers to pressing questions lol, and a bunch of good recipes and wallpapers!

I don't turn on the news when I first get up, so trust all of you to let me know what is going on in the world! I have to check in numerous times a day to see what you are doing, who needs comforting words, what is the recipe of the day, as well as the current pictures and sites, and, and, and................!

All of the above. Its also my news, I find out what happening in the world. Info, friends, news, ideas, recipes, relaxation, comfort......need I say more? Oh, and to kill some time too.

I come because I enjoy the KT

but I do dislike those that come once in a while with their superior attitudes and like to cause controversy, and better than thou attitudes

I am a lead anthropologist from a galaxy far far away. My team and I come to your planet to study the biological,physiological ,social and cultural aspects of the human race.

As my focus is on the psychology of social and cultural interactions once I found the KT my leaders agreed that I could best serve by integrating myself into your online society.

Our other teams are busy coming into your abodes while your sleep to attach permanent bar codes to your lower extremities just above the ankle. Please don't scratch as the could compromise our mission.

Cuz I love reading what each of you has to say, it's refreshing, funny, sad, and intimate. Sharing a persons life via print is a pleasureful thing.

Actually Glenda summed it up quite perfectly. So, I just consider that "drama queen" source and enjoy myself with old friends and new friends alike.

For the same reasons as already mentioned. I have been pretty housebound as a caregiver for several years, but even if I don't post, I still feel connected. Its changed a lot over the years, well some things have not, but for the most part the ones here from the the get-go I feel like I know personally, although I have met very few in person. I miss a lot that have left, but do stumble upon them out in the cyber world once in a while.

Hope it's not for accurate info judging by the posts recently pulled.

It's here first! Dr. Laura had the caller who's 9yo daughter was dancing dirty to a song, dressed like a hooker....heard about it here first! Then she had an email of an obituary where the person "would not be missed"....heard about it here already!

I'd never heard of a pie bird....or putting a crumb topping on a blueberry muffin.....now I need gardening advice on growing some lilies and where do I turn.....:0)

Visiting KT is like having penpals was in the olden days.

I probably never will meet you. But I am interested in where you live, your families, your pets, your problems, how you do certain things. And sometimes it helps me with my own activities of daily living.

I have gotten educated on lots of new things at KT.

Glenda, you are so right.. But this is a great group of ladies here. Lots of great help and info. If you need something, just ask and you'll get loads of help.. Going through a tough time come here for kind words... Best group of ladies ever.. All of you, have a great day..

good friends...warms hugs...interacting with NORMAL people and i'm sure there are hundreds of other reasons this is my first stop when I sign on in the morning!

I come for enjoyment and also for all the news I miss on TV.

I started coming here because I was so lonely. The kids were young and I was alone in the hills of KY. No friends or family around. The ex was gone a lot, his family didn't seem to like me because I was from the "big city"....of Fallon NV-LOL!

So, I planted a bunch of gardens all over our 2 acres, read tons of library books, watched a lot of Oprah and "talked" to the peeps at the KT. You all are like family now. Don't post a whole lot lately but do read just about every day, even if it's only the front page and a few posts. I've cried and laughed with the KT and care about most of you even if I haven't met you in person.

I enjoy the variety of people here. It's interesting to learn what others are experiencing/have experienced in their lives and to hear their opinions. The "wisdom of crowds" is here, as it is on all the forums, but in a more 'homely' way.

Why ask *one* person (a Dear Abby or Mr. Fix-It type) when you can ask here and tap into the opinion and wit of so many?

(Reminder to Self: Do not scrub too hard in the shower and foil Wildchild's search for intelligent life. OTOH...)

I come because it's just part of my day. Has been since the day Spike opened the KT door! I've met a lot of great people (some face to face).!

To see what everyone is up to. To laugh and sometimes cry. To learn and hear your stories and see your pictures.

Recently on vacation I met two couples from Iowa visiting to the same tourist spots we were. So badly I wanted to ask, "Do you know the kitchen table?" They just seemed like friends I already knew.

I come for the reasons given by the rest. I am mostly home and not out and about as I was when I was younger. This is a great bunch of people who are willing to help in an instance if one has a problem. I first came to the kitchen forum in 2001, I think, then the pond forum and eventually found KT. I get involved in peoples' lives like firemanswife . I also like we almost all have pets who are our kids.

I come/returned for the friendly ppl, sincere wishes, warm advice..oh and glenda's chocolate pie!! ;)

Pretty well all of my reasons have been given ... but in addition, I like to stir the pot a bit, on occasion ... get things livened up a little!

I hear that even old folks can make a bit of mischief, on occasion.

I just discovered KT, so I don't know much about it. I hope that I can drop in now and again to visit.

Like most of the above posters there are a lot of things I like about coming to the KT. Just seeing what everyone is doing in their part of the world, new recipes, new ideas, and good friends to share your news with, good or bad.

Essentially one word sums it up: Entertainment. In the process have have gained good friends and as sort of a student of human nature, it's fun to watch the full gamut. I'm constantly amazed at the hypocrisy, the selfishness, humorlessness, insecurity, general unhappiness with themselves and their lives, etc, but then there's the other side with people who care, who know themselves, realize their limitations and are comfortable and happy with themselves and enjoy diversity, laughs and both intelligent and not-so-intelligent conversation.

I visit for two reasons, the main one is for the information threads. Don't take offense, the other is because I bored out of my mind. LOL

For information, and to study human nature. And...habit.

Like most of the other posters, this IS home. I've been here so long and "know" so many and can not wait to get back from my travels to see how my friends are doing. You all are my next door neighbors and thank you for being such good ones. Nanny

I come here for guidance. I come here cause I respect everyone's opinion. I come here for stupid things. But the main reason is that I've been coming here for 10 years, off and on, and I whenever I have an "issue", I always come right back here, and you guys are always THERE.

I've been here since day one of the start of the KT and feel like I know most of you, and some I have met in person. I just have to keep coming to check up on everyone.

I don't post as much as a use to. I really enjoy the updates on new family additions, Children, Grands and Furkids and funny Spouse Stories.

I love the jokes folks post and positive messages and sayings I see.

I've met several KTer's and they were instantly like family.

I like to see the good in people here. It's awesome.

hi finally have a chance to sit!!!!whew! i come to kt for all the stuff mentioned above and then some! you are all a fountain of info! i love your pictures of homes, families, gardens, pets, etc. i find it very interesting to read about peoples lives in places ill only see through your eyes so to speak. i dont get to come on as much in summer as i do winter...tonight i took the night off for a little while anyways lol. cant believe how much i missed and im not even off the first page yet! i love the KT because everyone here is so extra special to one another. thats rare in todays world. i can come here feeling blue and leave feeling happy as a pig in poop lol. i also like it because ill remember i need to find something out and all of a sudden...bam someone here is looking for the same thing. i just think your all a great bunch of folks! have a nice night everyone! ive reaally enjoyed reading this post. (sorry so long winded)

To see what all my cyber Friends are up to,and everything Glenda said as well.I don't seem to get here everyday anymore,as my gardens need tending,and it seems the day just flies by sooooooooooo fast.

I like the comraderie,the recipes(even though i don't like cooking) and to see how you all are doing,and what you are doing.Also score a few laughs here and there.

Very nice bunch of folks here!! OH and i have to see"i'll show you mine",such beautiful pictures from all over the world.

Ditto. I post mainly on the Diet Chat threads, but have lurked here since '98, and have enjoyed myself for all of these years.

I love to make a pot of coffee and fix a cup, bring it to the computer and come HERE and read all the posts ! I especially like all the pictures and even though I am new and feel somewhat like a stranger, I hope in time I can get to know most all of you.
