I've planted some mulberry trees and some American Cranberry Bushes. The ACBs are mature enough to produce berries, but the mulberries will take a few more years in the ground because I started them from whips. I usually provide fruit on a sturdy plastic plate on the patio table. This is a typical menu: apple chunks, a dollop of grape jam, a slice of orange, and raisins soaked over night. If they're on sale, I might throw in some red seedless grapes cut in half. As I said, mockingbirds adore the jam, but so do catbirds if you have them. They as well as cardinals and jays will eat the apple chunks. The orange slice is a favorite for woodpeckers and flickers, the Terminators of the ant world. Robins will come for the raisins and grapes. In the summer, put out the fruit just after you're finished gardening. It makes great after work entertainment and the robins will stick around for hours later to see what other edibles you have around the house. By the time a few months go by, they'll start coming around just when they see you outside with a shovel! There are many birds that eat insects during the summer but not during the winter, hummingbirds for example. So I would suggest having a good all around feeder set up to attract the most clients as possible. :)

Nice report! Things are really slow at my house this year...only had 2 varieties ripe so far out of 8. First year trying most of them, a couple hold overs from last year. I haven't had any Opalkas ripen yet, but hopeful. I tried it for canning and hopefully munching on. Last year's paste tomato was a determinate variety that worked well for canning, but, had nasty texture / taste when eaten fresh. I gave up on Brandywines after trying a few years. Stupice - that one surprised me. It's one of the only ones I've had so far this year, and have already gotten "orders" for planting it next year. :-) I have also had a few Costoluto Fiorentino so far this year (one of the only repeats from last year). Have a Purple perfect that is blushing now...that's my other repeat. I'm thinking of adding back in some determinate / hybrids next year. This year I searched for what everyone was calling their favorites / best tasting, and ended up with all indeterminates. Is that bad....barely getting started with this year's crop, and already planning next year! haha!

The results are in.... I used the under eye patches this morning and I have a mixed review. Alright, my under eye bags are exactly the same as they were pre-patches. So that is a disappointment. I have allergies and a string of autoimmune challenges, so I guess my eye bags are not going to budge. Not for these patches and certainly not for the various eye creams I've tried over the years. These are my bags it appears and I'd better learn to wear them proudly. On to the good part...the crows feet filled in so well it's amazing. The crinkly skin under the eyes also 'ironed' out. Bags are there, but crinkles smoothed over. I give these patches a thumbs up just for that. I'm going to try using a patch upside down on my upper lip, maybe tomorrow and see if it can fill in the lines from talking, eating, drinking and being alive that one gets there. That would be great if it did! On to the elevens some of us get between the brows, I think that if you cut a patch and stick it there, it might help with that if the grooves are not too deep (If cutting the patch doesn't ruin it of course). My elevens come and go--it all depends on how much the people in my life are pushing their limits with me. The more they misbehave consistently, I get elevens. If everyone is behaving themselves, my elevens fade down. The patches were comfortable to wear and did not irritate my cranky eyes anymore then they already are. I suspect it's not adhesive that keeps them in place because even band-aids give me a month long instant rash. I think it's the serum the patches are bathed in and the consistency of the patches themselves. Seems they will stick to just about anything due to that. There you go. I would use them again, but with expectations that my bags will not change for the better.

Oakley, the Perbelle is more of an ointment and is not liquid, and shaking it would have no effect on the viscosity. I have used Maybelline products and actually tried Great Lash again within the past twelve months. Mtn, I am trying both regular and tubing mascarasa. I prefer the tubing type but reslly just want my lashes to show up, iykwim, and would wear almost any type. I have tried a couple of lash primers that themselves clump worse than mascara. I’ve not tried Chanel; there is no place to try it without more than an hour‘s drive and my line in the sand for throwing money away on mascara is $40. The most recent others I’ve tried are Bobbi Brown, Trish McAvoy, Estee Lauder, IT. I’m beginning to think the products are affected by heat when they are shipped, especially when they spend any amount of time in our mailbox. Even in padded mailers the plastic containers are often very hot when I unpackage them, even in winter. Maybe that has nothing to do with it— maybe my eyelashes are scaly and that’s what causes the clumping effect. At this point I am just tired of trying new ones! I was very hopeful when I tried the Thrive brand last year because I’ve never heard or read of anyone not loving it, but it clumped on my lashes.
