Thank you for your prayers and concern! Made my day! This has been a crazy winter with record snowfall....over 70 inches in 3 weeks. Yes, over 40 roofs of businesses have collapsed in Spokane which is the city near us. Some of the places were large businesses like a large grocery store and a fitness club. We have the National Guard in our school district today shoveling off our school roofs. We could hear them up there all day long. BLESS THEM! This is our first day back...3 days off and 2 days prior to Winter Vacation. The snow has now turned to rain which has left a mess all over the state with flooding. A very unusual winter...as you know our hot water tank went out and then our pipes froze and bursted. Like I told Carol though, we have each other and no one has been hurt in our family. I've been clearing off our roof to make things safe. There was so much snow up there! It was HEAVY snow too! I hurt all over! :oO Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers! Thanks for all of your support and prayers. They are looking deeper into the root cause of the dizziness. She's had several transient ischemic attacks over the past 10 or so years and takes Coumadin, which of course delays the surgery for her elbow because it's a powerful blood thinner. I personally think that she's having more of those, but the doctors are withholding comment until the tests are in.They have her on something called Special K to counteract the effect of the Coumadin. All of the tendons in her elbow are torn, so it will be repaired with lovely screws and rods. She has a rod and screws in her hip from the first fall that put her in the hospital 3 and a half years ago for 4 months. This injury bruised her shoulder (no break) and caused a compression fracture in her L1 vertebrae, in addition to the elbow damage. She did have a serious brain bleed and concussion in January of this year (the last fall) and the dizziness has been getting worse since that incident. She has the worst time with getting up in the night to go to the restroom. What do you do, forbid them getting out of bed to prevent injury? I really wish that I could find an inflatable suit to keep her safe! I'm just ranting, but she's spent more of this year in a hospital or rehab than at home. If it's discouraging to me, how must she feel? The weather dried up and got well above freezing, that's the way we get weather here, snow doesn't stick around for very long. Thank you for your concern and assurances, folks. I'm having some trouble hitting the eye with the drops, rather than the cheek ... plus knowing when I've dropped one drop into the eye and not dropping more. I got some stakes in to support the tomatoes today and had thought that if I could get all of the stakes in before the op. I could string the lines to hold the branches up later. But I doubt that, as the branches are quite large and heavy. Two rows are nearly 48 inches apart and not only can one not walk between the rows at present ... one can't even see down through there. We've had nearly record rainfall for summer, already ... and there's quite a lot of summer yet to come. They say that the nurseries are having a great summer - have been planting throughout the season, as things are growing unusually quickly. It rained rather heavily over the weekend ... and when I drove down a track near the garden this evening ... I got stuck! ole joyful
