There is some small leaved clumping bamboo that grows at a rest area between Tivoli and Fulton on HWY 35 that looks really nice. It is not affected by the wind at all. I don't think wind would bother larger clumpers either. You may want to look into some of the more colourful culmed clumpers...something with yellow culms and green stripes or maybe a blue culmed bamboo. My biggest concern would be salt spray from an occasional hurricane, which would burn the leaves, but not necessarily kill the plant. I know some people growing bamboo on Galveston Island and it has survived salt spray. Kt

LOL Jaynes 123. Happy to spend other people's money any time. ;) Virtually any time we've done something to the house, if we waffled and skimped, we've regretted it. I'm not letting that happen in this kitchen. Do you ever watch Love It Or List It? Those people know their existing house is going to get a big bump in value with what they're doing. There's always some catastrophe that makes them not able to go ahead with their plan. And no one (maybe one over the time I've watched...speaking of the old one, not the new one) kicks in the extra money and says they want to give their existing house a fighting chance to make them happy. That's my reaction every. time. I'm trying to remember that with this reno. BTW, I don't remember how far along you are, which Blanco your main sink is/will be or what kind of a kitchen you're coming out of since you deleted your other stuff. My Diamond Super Single is sitting in it's open box in my entry hall. It's a bathtub. It's enormous. I can not imagine that this will be my kitchen sink. Inconceivable.

Thank you so much for your opinions and ideas. I worry that the camera angle is making the cup pulls dominate the drawers. They don't give that impression in person (except the 4 drawer cabinet). Also, I'm supposed to get chunky furniture "feet" (design still to be decided, not the samples on the first two pictures) and that will also give the banks of drawers more substance. I feel as if I need to tape up all the drawer fronts and put up all the cup pulls in the entire kitchen to see whether they really dominate the space. The drawer fronts are supposed to be installed on Friday/Saturday, so maybe after the cabinet maker does this, I can tape knobs and pulls before we screw them in. Budge1--I love your kitchen!! I would have loved to do a dark bottom cabinet with a white upper but bc my kitchen doesn't have a window, I went with all white. Bodica--these are custom cabinets, so there wasn't a showroom where these were displayed and knobs/pulls were attached. For better or worse, my cabinet maker and I determined every dimension of every aspect of the cabinets, crown molding, and soon-to-be furniture feet. Buehl--the dishwasher handle is actually much bigger than the cup pulls. This is why I think the photos may be distorting the perspective. Nuccia--I do like 86 different opinions. That's what makes this forum great. But I'm glad I didn't run all my decisions by this group LOL.
