I take a 9 x 13 baking dish and place my pork chops in it.

Next put a slice of onion on each pork chop. I rinse my rice (about 1/2 cup) until the water runs clear and then put a heaping tablespoon of rice on each pork chop. I salt and pepper the whole thing. Then I take a large can of whole tomatoes (crushed will work) and break them up all over the pork chops and rice. I add some water to the can to get out all the tomatoes and pour it on top. You want to be sure there is enough water to cook the rice.

Now cover it with aluminum foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour. I serve it with applesauce and a salad. Oh and put soy sauce on the table to pour on the rice. It is so good, my son's favorite meal.

This is my familys very favorite:

flour and brown pork chops in oil (don't cook thoroughly, just brown)
put in casserole dish and cover with Campbell's Chicken with rice soup. (do not dilute it) Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Oh my goodness, they are so tender and delicious!

I marinate overnight in lemon juice and lots of garlic, then either fry or toss on the grill.

Think I'm gonna try nita's recipe. Sounds like it would be a hit in my house.

Take pork chops and rub them with soy sauce and ginger. Let them set in the fridge for a few hours. In a skillet put some oil, kind of deep. While the oil is heating put some cornstarch in a plastic bag. Toss the pork chops into it and coat really well. Put the pork chops into the fry pan and cover with it vented a little (you don't want the steam). You will need to flip them over once but cook them until they are done but not dry. They will have a nice crispy coating on them.

Serve with applesauce, steamed rice and a veggie.

I don't know about anyone else but I was raised that you HAD to have applesauce with pork, you would get sick and die if you didn't lol

I cover them in Italian dressing or ranch, then roll them in crushed croutons....then fry. They're very moist...hearty....flavorful....

My family loves pork chops this way.
Lightly brown 4-6 chops in oil. Add about 1 cup water, 1-2 tsp. soy or teriyaki sauce and one large onion, sliced. Grind pepper over it. Cover tightly and simmer 45-60 minutes, until the chops are done.
Meanwhile, mix about 1 cup water with a packet of brown gravy mix. Remove the chops from the pan when they are done and add the gravy/water mix. Stir until the gravy thickens. Add more water if necessary. Put chops back in pan to reheat. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, Texas toast, or whatever you like!

I like them just plain old shake and bake

I've started using ginger salad dressing as a marinade for pork and chicken. Terrific for the grill. I also made a BBQ sauce with ginger dressing, bottled BBQ sauce, vinegar, Tabasco sauce, and a tad ketchup for sweetness. We used a dry rub for the first 45 minutes, then added the sauce for the rest of the cooking time. Best grilled chicken we ever made, we decided. :-)

I'll be re-inventing my sauce for pulled pork the next time we do a butt on the grill!

My method for pork chops is similar to jamie_ms. I use a can or two, depending on how many chops, of Campbells Chicken Gumbo soup. Then I just let them simmer on top of the stove, with a lid. Turn them once.

Roast in a roasting pan. They are tender and delicious.

Good with scalloped potatoes, while the oven's on. Yummy

I made these this past weekend & we really enjoyed them. I didn't note the source, & don't recall if I got the recipe here.

Baked Pork Chops with Parmesan-Sage Crust Recipe
4 servings.

1 1/2cups fresh breadcrumbs made from crustless french bread
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces)
1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 large eggs
1/4 cup all purpose flour
4 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (each about 1 inch thick)
2tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
lemon wedges (optional)
orange wedges (optional)

Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix breadcrumbs, cheese, sage and lemon peel in pie dish. Whisk eggs in medium bowl to blend. Place flour on plate; season generously with salt and pepper. Coat pork chops on both sides with flour; shake off excess. Dip chops into eggs, then coat on both sides with breadcrumb mixture.
Melt butter with oil in heavy large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops to skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer skillet with pork to oven. Bake until pork chops are crisp on the outside and meat thermometer inserted into pork registers 150°F, about 20 minutes.
Transfer pork chops to plates. Garnish with lemon wedges and orange wedges, if desired, and serve.

Mine are similar to Nita's. I usually put in the crockpot with diced tomato (with juice) and sliced onions on Low for 8 hours. Falling apart when the come out! Serve with rice or potatoes. Add a green salad or veggie too!

I also put them in a 9 x 13 pan and then cook up a package of Stove Top Stuffing (I use 2 c. water) and spoon that over the chops and cover with foil. Then I bake them at 350 for an hour.

You didn't give a hint on what your doing now so we have no idea what's different or a repeat. I still enjoy a plain fried or better yet, grilled pork chop meal. Doesn't need to be fancy. I also like breaded pork cubes or the cooked in cream soup/gravy. Baked on a bed of rice or stuffing is good. Chopped up or shredded in BBQ sauce is tasty too.

Marinate them in Apple Cider Vinegar or Balsamic for about 15 minutes before you grill, fry, broil, bake, George Foreman them. Divine.

Low fat, too!

I've browned chops and then simmered in Orange Marmalade and served it with rice.

I also like to make a rub of sage, salt & pepper. Brown and simmer in beef broth. Add a dollop of sour cream at the end and serve with noodles or rice.

Favorite here is similar to jamie and sue's but I use cream of mushroom soup.Or if I'm feeling energetic (or don't have a can of soup) I make my own sauce with a roux made with butter,flour and milk and add mushrooms.
I fixed them one night in the oven and everyone liked them that way too.Put some Ritz crackers in the food processor,season chops with pepper and garlic powder.The crackers are pretty salty so you don't need to salt the chops.Dredged the chops in the crumbs.Place on a cookie sheet covered with foil(easy clean up)and sprayed with non-stick spray.Bake @ 350 for 35-40.these were juicy and the coating was crispy.Really good.

6 boneless pork chops(1/2inch thick)
2TBSP oil
1med. Onion,chopped
1can(16oz.) Black beans,rinsed & drained
1 can(15 ¼ oz.)whole corn,drained
1 can(10 ¾ oz) cond. Tomato soup,undiluted
1 ¼ c. water
1c. uncooked instant rice
½ c. sliced ripe olives
2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. dried oregano
½ tsp.salt
1/8 tsp pepper

In an ovenproof skillet,brown pork chops in oil on each side; remove & keep warm.In the same skillet,sauté onion until tender.Stir in the remaining ingr. bring to a boil.Place pork chops over top.Bake, uncovered, 350° for 35-40 min or until meat is tender. 6 servings.

ladies...thanks for the ideas. I tried nicole's idea...had some garlic croutons...delicious. have used just the italian dressing before and liked them. I rarely bread or coat meats (mostly due to the picky eating hubby) and love the sound of the dijon chops, nita's dish and a couple others. Don't eat a lot of fried foods but just love hush puppies so will be looking for that mix joann. I"m sure I'll find some here in Texas.

Didn't realize I didn't let you gals know what I did. I used to cook them in a bit of apple juice ...great flavor and yes, wouldn't want to be struck by lightning if I didn't serve applesauce with pork .
