I had unstuffed cabbage tonight. Along w/bread & butter, and a thick slice of cantaloupe.

Second day in a row without ac. Humidity is starting to move back in a little more each day though so it will soon go back on.

More rain for the weekend, no sun today but at least no rain.

For dinner hubby bacon, eggs & cheese grits, for me it was bacon & toast.

Patti, try to take it easy as you will tire very fast. I am doing ok. Can't wait till this surgery is over.

Shirley, it'll be at least a month or six weeks before our air can be turned off. I sure look forward to it. Wish I could have cantaloupe--I'm allergic. It always smells so good when I cut one up for Harry.

Glenda, oh no!! Sure hope you're feeling better tomorrow. I don't like my BLT's cut, either. Hard enough holding everything together in one piece, much less two.

We went to Richmond today to look at some counter top slabs........ Went to lunch at a restaurant my hairdresser recommended last night. Good Italian food. DH was very pleased. We had fried calamari to share, he had lasagna and I had three mushroom stuffed ravioli and we shared an apple croustade topped with vanilla bean ice cream. On top of all that, you could choose from their special pasta menu for two pastas to take home. all that for $40.00. I have two orders of spaghetti and meatballs sitting in the fridge for tomorrow night. Isn't that grand?

I'm playing catch-up on the weary body after the beginning of this week. LOL

Mary, that sounds delish! I love bacon--guess everyone who can eat it does, though. Sure hope this surgery goes well for you.

Terri, those BLT burgers are sure to be a hit with the boys. I love the mayo recipe, too. Perfect for that sandwich. Just the other day, Harry made himself a root beer float. Don't know what made him think of it, but he sure enjoyed it.

Georgysmom, sounds like a fun way to spend the day. Did you decide on your countertops? That is quite a deal on your meal! And lucky you won't have to be in the kitchen tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Some of the family got together and went to the casino for the seafood buffet. Omg I can't even begin to describe it. Biggest one I have been to. I had so many kinds of crab I am a crab! Shrimp of every kind, and pretty much anything you could think of. My husband went for the beef fillet and prime rib beef. I didn't try anything else but seafood. I had not had Dungeness or stone crab in years, awesome meal. Great day on the bayou.

Applebee's tonight! And to touch on another thread... asked for and received the Golden Apple discount (10%) which applied to everything except Gary's beer. We saved $2.24 on one of the 2 entree plus an appetizer special along with my raspberry iced tea!
