I think that little girl is long dead.

I thought they determined the bad smell was human decomposition a few weeks ago. I guess they made a definite decision about it recently. I've never understood why they let her out in the first place.
Betsy, by not living in Florida maybe we are not getting the same news as you, but it has been on national news. I haven't seen anything about a BOLO or a description of the so called babysitter that was supposed to have kidnapped little Caylee. Have you all been given any details about the babysitter?

I had to take Bob to a mall in Memphis today to get some eye glasses. One of the stores had Caylee's picture posted at the front of the store. That precious little girl has been on my mind so much.

Casey's behavior has been suspicious from the beginning. Can you imagine waiting all that time to even report her missing? I hope they find Caylee, one way or the other.

Linda, I think the babysitter was all just a fabricated story. This is just my opinion, but I think the sheriff's office knew right from the start that Caylee was not "missing". But they have to be so careful with all of the evidence so of course we are not privvy to all their information and shouldn't be. I think they are just "getting all their ducks in row" before they officially charge Casey with murder.

I just saw the bounty hunter Padilla on the news and he said he thinks Caylee is dead. They also said that Casey's attorney would be making a statement within the next couple of hours.

Oh that poor little innocent girl. I hope if it is the mother, they give her the worst sentence possible.

what's distressing it was grandma's car with the odor...she and grandpa have really messed up their lives for not doing the right thing the minute it happen...

My theory? The little girl accidently (I hope) drowned in the pool. The ladder was supposed to be separate from the pool, but was found up against it. Mom panicked and instead of admitting she screwed up by not watching Caylee, decided to lie about it and get rid of the evidence. So she hid the little girl's body until she could bury it somewhere. And she then proceeded to lie her butt off to her parents, who should have known something was up. And now no one wants to admit that this whole thing has been one giant lie after another.

I doubt if the mother will ever admit to what really happened. I hope they're able to prosecute her for something major, even if they only have circumstantial evidence. Some women should never have children and I think she's one of them.

I also don't think they will find the little girl alive and well, unfortunately. Poor child!

This whole thing gives me the creeps. I just heard about how the mother wanted to give the baby up for adoption, but the parents wouldn't let her. She obviously doesn't want the child.

And now they are considering giving her limited immunity. I can't see any reason for that.

I have watched this case pretty closely and wondered where the idea of an accident came from. Guess it was the swimming pool, but I hadn't seen or heard of the pool being mentioned.

That woman belongs in a psychiatric institution. . .forever.

I didn't think this bounty hunter guy could crack her. She has no intention of spilling her guts to him....she's nuts!

Does anyone remember the "baby in the closet" in Lancaster Texas a few years back?

The mother wanted to give the baby up, *her* mother "wouldn't let her", & the little girl eventually was found, naked, filthy, sexually abused -by the mother's boyfriend- in a closet where she had been kept.

She didn't know what the world, or even the rest of the house, was like:
they threw food into the closet, & she had no container for bathroom needs, so she "went" on the floor.

She was the size of a 3-year-old (seems like she was 7), she didn't know what the sun was, & she said the grass was biting her bare feet.

The mother had moved from their old neighborhood, & no one in the new neighborhood knew that there was another child.

The mother had been snooping around a relative's acreage;
law enforcement suspected she was looking for a place to bury her daughter's body.

(The boyfriend, afraid that the little girl would die & he'd be held responsible, tipped off a neighbor.
Had he not done so, it's likely no one would ever have known.)

When it all came to light, the mother's mother sailed in & grandly said *she* would raise this child & the other children.

The court said no.

The girl's mother said in an interview that she was relieved, that she felt freer in prison than she ever had felt in her life.

Tragic all round.

& as far as I know, the control-freak mother/grandmother is still free as a bird, still completely satisfied with herself.

a month ago prosecutors offered her limited immunity, that offer expires tues. if she's smart she'll take it. DNA evidence from the g'mom's car again came back positive for caylee (rumor has it it's hair, tissue & blood). that evidence is being released to public this evening. they will also release that Univ TN sent back positive results on air in the trunk for human decomp. the guy (idiot really) who was suckered into putting up bail is trying today to get that revoked, as no one in the family will talk. no one doubts they will pull the bail, she has repeatedly broken curfew times even thou she has media on her tail 24/7 witnessing this. the sooner she's sent to death row the better off! then prosecutors need to go after the g'parents. ~ liz

It really bugged me how that bail guy insinuated himself into this case. He should have stayed out of it.

Would serve the bail guy right if'n he lost the bail money, like if she skipped town....or something!

Casey Anthony has said that the man who fathered Caylee is a guy who died in an auto accident. I don't think he was ever a part of Caylee's life, but I'm not sure.

his family found out he had a child when it came out in the media he was the father. so i'm sure he played no roll in her life. there is no father listed on the official birth certificate but i think dna tests ahve confirmed he was the father.

the bail bondsman is not going to lose $$, he is going to turn her in to the jail & get his $$ back. it might be better for him anyways to take her back before they file new charges. ~ liz

If the bail bondsman turns her back in, he loses 10%, or $50,000.

The attorney and bondsman have just announced that they are not revoking bail and Casey will not be returning to jail.
