Falsh or the real thing??????????

When I came down to Texas she was out at her hairdressers....she came back she as getting fake eyelashes I was in envy....she just goes back every few weeks and has them filled....THEN THE TRUTH CAME OUT!!! She paid 190.00 to get indivudial lashes glued on! Heck I do my own I get them from Walmart (need tocheck Sallys) but takes me maybe a hour and 5.00) they last about 2 weeks some mornings I have to fill them.....I told her shew as nuts I thought she was getting the sewn ones I had heard about on......I am going to have a sit down with her and tell her I will do it half price man!! Crazy Siser..who says th oldest gets the best brains? And she and my mom both said mine looked as good if not better then hers!! STacy

Stacy... does the glue really hold them on and do your real lashes not fall out from the glue being adhered to them.... so will our sister let you do hers from now on and she can pay you half of what she would normally pay...sounds like a deal to me.you are a hoot!!

Jeri and Kim: Thank you for explanation. I guess there is more to classification than flower form and smell. Melissa: I just bought Rose de Rasht this year. Rasht is birthplace of my mother in law and I thought she would get a kick out of it. Her reaction was "Good roses dont grow in Rasht, it is too rainy and humid." I know Rose de Rascht may not be from Rascht but her comment was so mother-in-lawy. My lot is very small and do not have too much space for big Damasks. Although a couple of years ago, a friend gave me a sucker from her own Damask plant. What I could not get out of her was that if she actually brought it from Iran or she bought a named Damask from a nursery, assuming it was the same. I will post pic for ID in spring. Growing up in a city, I had never seen any rose growing wild in Iran. Then again I was a teenager when we left and never an outdoorsy person. If I come across any seed, I will try to bring it back. BTW for anyone interested, Regan still has few more PFSR in hand. You have to call, it is not listed on the online catalog. FJ

The easy way to test if you don't know what laurus nobilis smells like is to buy a packet of culinary bay leaves from a food shop. Bruise a leaf on your laurel plant and see whether it smells just the same as the dried leaves. It's a distinctive scent. If it smells different, especially if you detect a faint almond scent, don't eat it. Some plants commonly called 'laurels' (most are actually in the prunus genus) contain cyanide compounds in the leaves.

This first time poster is a 30 year veteran pharmacist, not just some boob trolling the internet with misinformation. These cards are ***ALL*** scams, as a fact. Not a theory. They collect your information, including your health information, AS A FACT, not a theory, and sell it, AS A FACT. They offer ZERO discount which is why most private pharmacies won't accept them. If you haave trouble with PRICING, your best bet is to talk to the pharmacist. If they can do something for you, they probably will, and most, if not ALL pharmacies will match cash prices. The Chain drug stores accept many of these cards in the hopes of driving traffic. The fact that CVS also owns the PBM helps them. Aside from that, these cards, if not in healthcare, would be flatout illegal because they represent fraud. So how do the perforate in healthcare? Because the heathcare system is essentially corrupt from top to bottom. In this case, the card fraudsters petitions CMS to make provision in the Obamacare act that required that hospitals and healthcare organizations to actively pursue means of reducing costs to prescriptions to indigent cash paying patient (forgetting that there should be no cash patients anymore under Obamacare). To fill this check box for Medicare Compliance, these cards are put in the front windows of all these healthcare organization, promoting the fraud. These cards do NOTHING to promote a discount. They reimburse pharmacies NOTHING. They charge the pharmacies to privilege to process the card, which is how they make there money. These are the low life money grubbers in the healthcare economy who rip off the system at everyones expense, and provide ZERO economic benefit and ZERO healthcare value. They just steal... PERIOD.

Yes they stay on I have been doing my own for abou 8 months now.....watching the tv peeps and loved the look...didn't knwo if it was in style or not...but had to have them.....I can go out with out make up but love to have eyelashes....
Anyways yes teh glue really holds them even went swimmin in the gulf the other day no problems....
Don't know will talk to sissy when I go to town this week about it! Would save her dollars and give us extra bonding time! sTAcy and no my lashes have never fallen out with them

I use to wear false eyelashes back in the late 60's to early 70's. I couldn't take the feel of them. My sister had permanent eyeliner tattooed on her eye lid. OUCH! It was not only costly and painful but one eye got badly infected so had lots of medical bills. My eyes may not look that great, but I will live with them as they are rather than go through all that. BTW, what kind of glue do you use?

I wouldn't do anything around my eyes for vanity reasons. Infections can go from one eye to the other over night. Blindness is to scary for me.

I used to do that in the 80's (my glamor days LOL) I would buy the fake lashes that came in small clusters. I would trim them and glue them on. Not too many, just to fill mine in, and as they fell off I would glue more on. I always got compliments on my eyes and what beautiful lashes I had. I would just say thank you. After all they were my lashes,I paid for them. Dottie

I don't do false anything. I can't stand the feeling of anything extra. Even nail polish seems too heavy to wear sometimes. Fake nails or even tips give me the heebie- jeebies. Same with eyelashes. I do wear mascara every day but it comes completely off at night.

My GF's & I used to wear them in the 60's when we'd go to dances (with our DH's) They weren't too bad!

It's funny because I can really go without makeup but I like loooking like i hae eyes and eyes to me means lashs! So I do wear them maybe 2 to 3 weeks at a time then I will go months without and just mascara.....when I wear them I always get compliments so they must not look bad or they loook so bad people have to stop and sy something LOL STacy
