LOL Glenda that is a good story~~~~come on over Betty;)

I had a KTer walk up to me in Texas a couple weeks ago and ask "Are you Jodi?" I'm going to post about it later with the whole story and a photo. It was a very special moment for me.

Couple years ago, my son was going into an office building, to make a delivery, and a lady said "Hii Parke, I know you".

It was LKGrace, telling him about his son, Parke Jr, his recent marriage, describing his new bride, then tells my son, who she is and that we know eachother from the KT.

Talk about coincidences. Floored my son!

This is a good example of how people can pick out all the stuff you post, and find out where you live, where you frequent.

I've survived the KT forever, and look at the positive instead of the negative.

And YES Betty and husband were extremely nice.

Wow, I don't know how I would react to that if it happened to me. Honest question - would the responses on here be different if someone randomly greeted a child or grandchild by name and knew details about them and you had no idea who they were? Just curious if there's some kind of line between a fun experience and an unsettling one when it comes to forums with the kind of (hidden) traffic this one has. I don't have kids myself so I don't know how much of a concern that is to the parents and grandparents on here.

I'm glad that Glenda and Jodi had good experiences! I think most people are just more adventurous and open than I am, and probably a lot less paranoid!

Please don't turn this thread towards the negative. Start a new thread of your own.

What fun!!!! It must have been exciting Glenda and I give kudos to the lady who stopped to talk. She's living life well to go out on a limb and speak to you. I love it.

That's a little harsh, isn't it? It's not as though we can claim possession of a message thread on a public forum. To post is to invite responses (of all kinds).

I'm sure it was a fun experience--it sounds exciting, and I'm glad you shared it. But I also thought it could be a lesson to those who persist in thinking the KT is a private place.

Who thinks the KT is private?? Its the internet. People meet from the KT all the time-myself included. If someone wants to abduct or rob someone, they certainly don't need to comb thru KT posts for years to glean info. It was a fun conversation inside Walmart!

Some threads tend to go downhill, alisande, and once they start it always ends most in the negative. Just wanted this one to stay a good thoughts one, that's all.

I shared my experience cause it was a fun one and wanted people to enjoy :o) and keep it that way.

I told DH about this, and he also thought it was really cool. The first time I had a KTer visit my home (in 2001), DH was concerned that a "stranger" was coming here. She was terrific, and since then, he gets excited when we are meeting KTers. I've met quite a few, and they have all been wonderful people.

Our Nita (The KT Queen) has met well over 100 KTers--and she has never had a bad word to say about any of them. Not an axe murderer in the lot!

I told Betty, yesterday, about the wonderful KT friends, and how we've actually had get togethers. She was amazed how friendships have been made and continue to develop.

I couldn't tell you anything about anyone here and pictures? What pictures? HAHAHA! Seems that I recall one woman cycles all over the place but that's about the most I remember. OH yeah there was this one woman whose Great Great Great Great Aunt was mudered by her husband or something...HA! I'm certainly not paying that close attention to anyone's life stories.

I think it sounds great.......a fun experience.

Oh, that sounds like fun, Glenda. We ought to invite her to lunch with us sometime.

Linda, IF we can get her to join the KT instead of being a LURKER.

I didn't think, nor did she about getting emails addresses. Such a nice person.
