Good thoughts for Mickey15/Tammy please.

She is suffering from a NASTY ear infection. Her face is swollen, she can't sleep because the pain is so unbearable and now the other ear is starting to hurt as well. She has seen the doctor and he has her on some medicine. If she isn't feeling any better by tomorrow she has to call the doctor back.

veleen and Vince my thoughts and prayer are with you. Veleen my Mom had the same eye problems be sure and ask your Dr what thing you can get from the government for help with your eyes. My mother rec books on tape as many as she wanted a month they send you the machine and the tapes free and you mail them back free they send you a list of all the books available all cities have this you could also check with you library and they would know what all you have to do to get started. It would be a good pass time for you both and then you could tell us what books to read. You will get you eye drops regulated and they pretty much can help you with the drops but be sure and take them I have had 6 weeks of treatment for my back on a spina table and it has done wonders for my back and also for my husband back. Check into spina tables with your Dr and I think you will find y our back much better. I will keep you in my daily prayers and hope to see you when I come to Westlake OH to see my big Sis I know Donna oh is also near there would be great to give you all a hug in person!!!!!!!!! praying for you now imabest

This is the latest update: From Marilyn: James asked me to send you the latest update on Andy. All the prayers seem to have worked! He woke up this morning and was talking to his son. They took the tubes out this morning and he was starting to crack jokes like the Andy we all know! He doesn't remember much about the accident though and still has a ways to go. I will give you more updates today as we get them! Please continue with your prayers because they are working! As she says, thanks a million, & please keep Andy in your thoughts & prayers.

Hi Connie, Thank You so much for the reminder. I meant to come back to this post as I had taken a picture. Good Grief, my mind these days! I received from Connie lots of goodies and I do appreciate all the thoughtfulness she put in my box. I got Dragon Fruit (so excited over this!) 2 other succulent type plant cuttings. some makeup, solar light, an owl bank , windchimes, and some crochet yarn. Ohh, an several packs of seeds. Love getting seeds! I grow all kids of things in my little jungle..lol! It was a great packed box with lots of variety! Hope I didn't miss anything. I am so grateful and thankful to all who sent me a box, it brightened my days!! Thanks again Connie! Have a beautiful day everyone! Tammy

Ear aches are NOT fun!! Maybe until she gets back to the Dr. she can put some hot/cold packs on--but check with Doc first, or the pharmacist. Can she also take tylenol? Check first.

Yup, warm rice pack to the rescue... at least, that always works for me.

Oh gosh!! Tammy I feel awful for you!
My DSis had an awful,awful bad infection hers required surgery to clean it all out and rebuild!
I hope yours is better very,very soon!
Try a heating pad for the pain dear girl!

Been there and ended up in the ER. I told the lady I had an earache and she looked at me like I was crazy - then I moved my hand covering my swollen face!
Best of luck to you Tammy! Hope those antiobiotics do the trick.
You might want to avoid getting any water in those ears. Mine has not happened again since i am more careful.

Heather, you are so sweet! I finally felt up to getting on my laptop today and find this post right at the top! Thank you all so much for the get-well wishes; it was so nice to see this post here.

After getting no sleep last night, I finally slept a few hours this afternoon. My Dr. that I saw yesterday gave me 800mg ibuprofin, so I've been taking those and they are finally numbing the pain. I went to the ER first, Saturday night and they wouldn't give me anything for the pain, said to take Tylenol or Advil even when I told them I had been with no relief. At the Dr. yesterday I was in tears the pain was so bad, felt like a big baby. Of course I left feeling even more sore after they put that metal syringe thingy down my ear over and over trying to flush it out, to no avail.

Anyway, thank you all, again, so much. And thank you Heather! Big Hugs!

Regular 12-hour Mucinex (blue container) thins and loosens the mucus and helps with ear and sinus drainage. This was recommended to me by a doctor.

Taken consistently, one in the morning and one at night, with plenty of water, it helps a lot, and does not make me sleepy or nervous.

Mickey ,,I feel your pain. I Had a terrible infection in January. Temporary hearing loss, swollen glands, everything. The ENT put me on heavy duty meds, thank goodness because I was a mess. I still have tinitis in my right ear but I'm learning to live with it. Having an ear infection is rough. I hope your feeling better very soon.
