Freezing Blueberries Question

Our store has blueberries the least expensive I've seen them so I'm going to buy a bunch and freeze them. But I've always wondered about this. Do you wash them first, then lay them on a cookie sheet and freeze? If so, dry them with paper towels? I can't imagine washing them after freezing (in other words, when you're ready to use them). But somehow it seems that the washing might impact their freezing?

Not sure I'm making any sense. So - basically, do you wash and dry your blueberries before freezing?

Thanks -
