People in real life often accuse me of being too serious and literal, and fact seeking. INTJ here. I do know people who run big servers out of their homes and an accident, or even sabotage like that, could happen.

Molasses is delicious served in a saucer, with softened butter mixed in and TOPPED with a warm biscuit for sopping.

My father always went to Sand Mountain in the fall to get his sorthum! It's ALMOST as strong as molasses.

HUMOR ALERT!!

There was a family of three moles. They lived outside a home. The family in the house was making breakfast. The father mole stuck his head outside of the hole and said I smell bacon and eggs. The mother stuck her head out the hole and said I smell sauage and french toast. The baby mole not able to get his head through said I smell molasses.

"Never developed a taste for molasses."

I thought every one like Molasses. Molasses is the main ingredient in gingerbread - not ginger as many assume. There is nothing like warm gingerbread just out of the oven with it's crispy crust. Mmmmmmmm. Oh, and Gingerbread Men cookies on holidays!

When I was a little girl my aunt told me that joke and I thought it was the funniest thing I ever heard.
She died about six years ago and I really miss her.....so again, thanks for making me laugh and thanks for bringing back a good memory.

When as a child I was delaying starting on some chore about which I was having difficulty developing any amount of enthusiasm, Dad used to say that I was as slow s molasses in January.

Recently the place that made sorghum molasses burned to the ground. I guess they don't plan to replace it. They had been in business for many years. It was only about 20 miles or so from me, here in central Indiana. I really like sorghum molasses.

Growing up I remember we always had King Syrup for pancakes. Also we had molasses, which I didn't like, and sorghum, which was generally called sagam. I liked syrup the best.

To me, Sorghum and molasses are one and the same. At least, our molasses was made from sorghum cane.

Then there was the concoction called Louisianne or something... quite different from sorghum. We did not like it. Too thin and funny tasting.

One of my nieces in Memphis used to love a syrup called Golden Eagle that did not seem to be sold in Memphis and they always took some back from Mississipi.

Did anyone ever make your own syrup by adding a flavoring to sugar water and boiling it? Sort of like Karo.

Rosebudms...My grandmother always made "maple" syrup that way!! It sure was good too!!!

I have made my own syrup before!
