I own most of my clothes from LandsEnd. They do run large, and won't shrink. You're best to send them back for a smaller size. They're very helpful - just call them for any help - or they have an online chat feature.

Oh dear!! I ordered jeans and shirts in the exact same sizes. Mine haven't arrived yet, but I really hate having to send stuff back.

Hmmm...I don't think they run large. I wear the same size pants in Lands End, J Crew, Talbots and Brooks Brothers. Lands End does have different "cuts", maybe the cut you got was a looser one (I usually buy the leaner cut, I think it's called Modern).

I wear a lot of their stuff, too. I love their tunic t-shirts. I order many every yr. I did notice that the quality of the ones this yr. is a lot less. I've had some now for 3 yrs. and some I got this yr. The new ones have tiny holes in the material after 2-3 washes and don't look good anymore. It's not moths because the older ones are just fine in the same closet. I've meant to write them about it. I can also feel the difference in the material so it must be some change they made in it. I find their sizes are pretty on the ball for me except every long sleeved shirt has extremely long arms! My arms are short I guess.

On the Lands end website, you can order some items, like pants, custom made with your measurements, and they save your measurements so that you can re-order.

Orie, Lands End stands by their merchandise. You can send stuff back if it doesn't wear well. My first winter in Iowa, I struggled with the zipper on my Lands End parka. I didn't want to send it back right away because I needed it. In the spring when the weather warmed up, I phoned Lands End and they said to send the parka back and I could use the credit towards a new parka. It worked out very well for me.

I figured I was taking a chance, ordering Land's End jeans online. If I try jeans on in a store, nine times out of ten I don't like the fit. But because returning to Sears is so easy, I sent in an order. I wear size 12 in Gloria Vanderbilt, and 14 in Lee Riders. So I ordered both. The size 12 was a good fit, and I didn't bother opening the 14s.

I like the fact that you can order by inseam measurement, too. How nice to have the perfect length!

Yes, it's risky to order jeans online, but I couldn't resist the price. I think I'll keep the t-shirts, they're roomy but nice.

I've worked part-time for Lands' End for several years during peak selling periods. I rarely wear anything else! Yes, their clothing runs large, most often in the pants/jeans. Shirts are more true to size in the women's sizes, but tend to run large in the plus sizes.

Return anything that is less the satisfactory. It is company policy to have happy customers, no questions asked -- just return it. If you still have the order summary, just send it back. If you don't have the paperwork, call first to get the address (I almost remember it, but forgot the zip).

One note for future reference -- strangely enought, LE shoes run small and shallow in the instep. Go figure!

I ordered two pair of shoes from Lands End. I ordered the size I normally wear. When I received the shoes they were way too big. I just returned them to Sears this morning.

WHOOPS! Looks like LE is trying to overcome their "too small shoe" thing...LOL!
