Actually Ivamae, I love to make it into burgers and grill them.
I used the recipe Ann links to in her opening post for burgers..Just didn't add the basil but subbed parsely. Pork Meatballs

Pork Sausage

this is a 1944's Ground Pie Shepherd's pie

1 pound ground pork
1 clove minced garlic
1 medium white onion chopped
1/4-cup green pepper chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 cups water
2 cups cooked whole-kernel corn
4 cups mashed potatoes
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions
Brown pork, garlic, onion and green peppers in a skillet for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Add water and cook, stirring, until the mixture bubbles and thickens.
Pour the meat mixture into a three-quart casserole.
Layer the corn on top of the pork.
Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the corn and sprinkle with the parsley.
Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes

Use it whereever you use ground beef. Meatloaf, meatballs, burgers, spaghetti sauce, tacos, etc.

I like to have my meatloaf at least 1/4 ground pork. More is fine too.

I'd make pork meatloaf.

You can also mix it with ground beef,very tasty.

Thanks everyone. I am going to keep all your suggestions.

I ended up making patties and frying them in a cast iron pan and we were pleased with them,

this is what I did

2cups lean ground pork
1/2 teasppon sage
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
It made 4 large patties.

If I changed it at all I might use garlic salt rather than garlic powder. I cooked them fairly hot for the first few minutes and then finished at a low temp.

Pork and Apple burgers.

Mix the pork with grated apple, cinnamon, sage, salt, pepper. Make patties and cook like a hamburger. Great with bread and butter pickles instead of dill.

My favorite burger place Baha Burgers serves this and I get it often.

Grilled pork loin burger with ginger lime aioli, provolone, and romaine. So Good!

They serve it with freshly fried sweet potato fries and fried okra tossed in with the fries.

lindyluwho, I just wanted to tell you that to-night, I mixed up the rest of the ground pork and did exactly what I did last night but added apple and cinnamon. The apple certainly adds a great deal. The extra moisture was great.

Next time you have pork sausauge, like Jimmy Dean premium with sage try this: Take one can of apple pie filling, one pound cooked and drained sausage, and pkg of shredded cheese, mix the three together and cinnamon to taste. Heat in pyrex dish in oven until thoroughly heated.
