Cats destroy everything, I'm hopeful this is a solution to the problem. What an awesome find!
We have some wild kittens that came up to the house to eat and they destroyed all the tall grasses in front of our living room window. It would have been the first year these grasses could have looked full and beautiful. I'm thinking about barbed wire around the plants!

I have two house/outdoor cats that are tame and there's about 7 feral cats that like to get into everything. Have managed to catch and get all fixed except the one old mama cat. She's just too smart but her litters are getting smaller and some don't survive. Wish cats would go through menopause and quit procreating. lol.

Oh, that is really neat, Donna. I have several big cages but none with a base like that and no domes. I keep plants in mine too. Nara has one with a base like that, but it doesn't have the domes.

Our neighbor had a pretty good yard sale but nothing really fancy. They are trying to sell their farm. She used to raise birds and had their parrot in this one but got it a smaller cage.
Also, got over 2 doz. hardback mystery books that had belonged to her late Mother.
Am anxious to 'git 'er planted' lol

wow Just beautiful and having had birds and buying cages I can tell you that one is not cheap! I would have loved that thing for my bird Dandy he would have loved all that room.

It will look lovely planted and you could even make a small glass totem to be a center piece in it.

I collect old bird cages and have about ten of them. I never put any outside because they all have wooden trim. I have them hanging all around the house or standing on pedestals. I never thought about plants though. Good idea as I have plenty of plants but wonder how hard it would be to water them inside. Outside watering wouldn't be a problem. Good find!
