Not too bad: Dancing with the Starts list

I just might watch the whole episode.

ABC has announced the 12 cast members for season 11 of Dancing with the Stars, and if you've followed the spoilers over the past few days and weeks, there should be absolutely no surprises. The list includes a Brady and a politician's daughter.

The Women

Brandy: The former R&B star will be dancing. Her brother, Ray J, famously made a sex tape with former DWTS celeb Kim Kardashian, so it would be hilarious if she got paired with her partner, Mark Ballas.

Florence Henderson: Filling out the token old person spot is Carol Brady. At 76 years old, she's definitely pushing the envelope.

Bristol Palin: The daughter of the former governor of Alaska will be dancing, and if anyone attacks her, they'll have a swarm of mama grizzlies to fend off.

Margaret Cho: The stand-up comedian seems like she'll be more of a Jeffrey Ross (dead last) instead of a Niecy Nash (winning America's hearts one jiggly part at a time).

Jennifer Grey: Patrick Swayze's Dirty Dancing partner, her role in that move is the only reason she's on this show and also the only thing anyone remembers her for doing.

Audrina Patridge: The star of The Hills seems destined for an early departure, mostly because no one who watches DWTS will know or care who she is.

The Men

The Situation: The ab-showing Jersey Shore star will be forced upon one of the unlucky pro dancers who will have to pretend that he's actually a star. His style may work for MTV, but I doubt it will travel to the middle America moms who watch DWTS.

Michael Bolton: Welcome to the '90s. I'll be curious to see if all those women who used to love Bolton will flock back.

Kurt Warner: NFL stars typically do very well on this show, but this is the first time they've ever had a quarterback. At least hen-pecked husbands will have something to look forward to each week.

David Hasselhoff: The Hoff and his legions of German fans will surely make for the cheesiest dancer of the season, topping the Situation.

Rick Fox: The former NBA star, former husband to Vanessa Williams and current boyfriend of Eliza Dushku is used to winning everything, so he might be the early frontrunner.

Kyle Massey: The token "Who???" cast member who came out of nowhere, Massey is best known to your kids as Cory from That's So Raven and Cory in the House on Disney Channel. His being included on this list is sooooo NOT raven.

The professional partners will be announced on Wednesday. Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere Monday, September 20 at 8pm on ABC

I loved Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing.

Florence Henderson sounds good, cause of her bubbly personality

My wish list is always really small. this year i bought a paradigm. 30 % off at a high priced nursury that has all of there hosta in alphabetical order (way cool!!) so i payed around $11.00 for it, and it had at least 8 eyes!! (was really excited!!) when i go to that nursury i dont take a cart with me because i know that i would fill it up!! so i only buy what i can actually carry. unfortunately the people there are so nice, they always want to run and get me a cart, but i tell them no, and then i just stuff my arms and fingers and toes with as many plants that i can possibbly carry and get to the register!! can you imagine what a sight i look like when i finally make it in line? my arms are aching and my back is killinmg me!! and the ever so nice girl at the register always says "sir, you do know that we have carts here dont you?" (i just laugh) and tell her that i am only allowed to buy what i can physically carry. all of there plants look great!! and all of the time!! (and so does there thyme) I was really hoping to find St Paul and Olive Bailey Langdon, so i settled for third place which was Paradigm! which I am sure that i am going to really like!! posting a pic of it if photo bucket doesnt kill my computer!! I think contractors do need to be aware of this issue and take steps on new construction to address it. In the years to come there may not be many top load washers available. A second floor laundry should not be constructed the same as a walk-in closet. There are many options to reinforce the floor and allow it to withstand washing machine vibration. And let's face it, not all homes are built to the same quality. I lived in a condo years ago with a second floor laundry and had a top-load Maytag that shook the house like an earthquake. (It was not the washer. The next place we lived the same washer was in the garage and it was so quiet and still that you didn't even know it was spinning.) I would think a cement or reinforced floor on a second floor laundry would be a marketable selling point. They should be sure to put a floor drain in also. Many do not while trying to save a buck. I now live in a tract of homes built 8 years ago that all have second floor laundry rooms with floor drains. I've asked my neighbors and many have front loading machines, a variety of brands, and no one has a vibration issue. We are fortunate.

Gee, I'd hate to hear what all you actually tackle on days you feel real well. :-0 I'll fess up and admit that I can be a bit of a stinker when my DH thinks he gets to check out of 'daddy duty'. Sure my DH works all day outside and pretty hard and has a 70 mile around trip commute and I'm sure some days he's very tired, but I figure he can go to bed early AFTER stuff is done and daddy duty is finished. I've been known to knock the pots and pans out of the cupboard rather loudly, toss silverware from one side of sink to the other a bit louder than called for. Have ran sweeper a few inches from sleeping hubby in chair. I'm bad, but always 'ever so sorry I disturbed you honey, I just accidently drop this or that, did I wake you?'. The message sinks in pretty quick and it's not long before he's back up on his feet and seeing if there is anything he can help out with. Not saying you should try my method, just sharing what works for me and I don't do it often, just when I really need a helping hand and can't do or be two things at once.

Gardner - I adore the four bed wall! I'll have to print that one and keep it for reference. Sandy - My father grew up in Greenville, FL. We lived 6 hours south of there but went up about once each year or every other year when I was a child. My grandfather designed and built the farmhouse himself. I sat down with my dad a few years ago and we sketched out the floorplan. There were no frills, mostly just a series of bedrooms connected to a kitchen. No dedicated living space and no indoor plumbing. Most of the socializing was done on the front porch. There was an outhouse out back and a well with a bucket that we had to draw water from. One year we went up and the had installed an old iron handpump beside the kitchen sink so they could draw water directly into the kitchen. A year or two later and they had upgraded to real running water and indoor bathroom. We would visit during the summer and they had no air conditioning. At the time, we didn't have A/C at our home either but it always seemed much hotter there. I still have cousins that live there but I wouldn't know them if I ran into them. I would have to visit now, as an adult, to form an opinion. One last bit of trivia about the old days, I remember there was a spot just down the road from their farmhouse where there was large lettering painted at an angle on the asphalt that said "QUINCY" and a big arrow underneath. They said this was painted on the road in the days before modern navigational beacons and was meant to guide airplanes. Later today I will be driving past a newer, very small home I spotted a few months back. It's in a rural area aobut an hour from my house and I don't pass that way often. I have prepared a short letter inviting contact and will be pinning that to their front gate. Let's hope we can meet them and draw them into our circle. Scott

Looks like, from reading, some have already been picked to go EARLY in the show.

I guess Florence Henderson is the Older person, right?

I like watching it too, no matter who is dancing. And I have found sometimes I think I wont care for one of them, only to find I that I really like them, so I am going to try not to pre judge this seasons list.

thanks for the info on ea some i did not know lol and i'm even a sports person. no one really is a draw for me :-/ i am interested in florence as i saw lots of the brady bunch! i will watch thou, it's one of the only shows i do remember to watch or DVR lol ~ liz

I love Jennifer Grey but wonder why she was picked since she was the queen of Dirty Dancing. Sounds like too much of an advantage to me.

I've been disappointed the last few seasons with the "stars". But that won't stop me from watching. I'll enjoy it anyway for the professionals on the show.
