Help ASAP! period starting bad timing

I know I can't count on 4 weeks anymore between periods (a couple of months ago I had 2 18 days apart) but I was thinking it would hold off until after the holiday. Last month was June 9 - and now I'm seeing red. Supposed to drive 3 hours to Boston (in the rain) tomorrow, sit through 8 hours of dance competition on Thurs, come back Friday afternoon after a Duck Tour and/or museum visit (another 3 hours or more depending on holiday traffic).

I have 1 pack of BCP left from last year (I went off at Xmas). Think if I start taking it now it will slow things down? Usually the first full day is very heavy (as in soaking an overnight pad in an hour or 2, sometimes gushing).

Hi ajsmama!

I'm new to the forum and came across your message. Just curious as to what your outcome was. I'm starting a women's group and enjoy hearing how women overcome their obstacles, whatever they may be...including a cycle that starts, out of cycle ;) Hope all went well for you!

I don't know if you are aware, but groups of women living together for long periods of time somehow end up with matching menstrual cycles ... each woman slowly shifts her cycle unconsciously till it matches the women around her.

Peas are a cool weather crop that are planted in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked or in late summer after nights have turned cooler.* They should be direct-seeded in the place they will grow because they do not appreciate having their roots disturbed by transplanting. A fast-growing, vining squash would work better at this time of year. Perhaps Jack-be-Little or Baby Boo mini-pumpkins? Or a vigorous ornamental gourd? *Fall peas are a hit or miss item that don't always work out. It all depends on Mother Nature's mood when it comes to fall peas.

Do I return starts to lights during hardening off period

You can return them to lights but it's not necessary and they will do fine without it, unless you have an extended period of bad weather. Start them off with an hour, no more than 2, direct sun the first day and increase it daily along with exposure to wind. Best to start with morning sun.

Need help asap - Is marble a bad choice for shower seat top?

In our last home, we used Brecchia Oniciata marble slabs on the tub deck, which was in the middle of the bathroom and open on 3 sides. I sat on the marble all the time and it had a candelabra and bubble bath bottles on it as well...no problems whatsoever. In our almost-complete new construction home, we went with Crema Marfil slabs on the tub deck, shower seat, shower shelf niches and shower thresholds. No experience with cracking and they're completely installed, so as Bill says, I don't think there will be any problems since it's set already. Don't know about etching yet, but we won't be placing any items on the shower seat anyway. It's personal preference, but I would opt to do slab in any material over tile for the shower seat, for both looks and comfort. We had emperador marble tiles on the tub deck and shower seat in a previous home and although it was nice, I do love the slabs so much better. YMMV!

A lot of your photos show mistakes made by a beginner in tile *layout*. This doesn't necessarily mean your person is a beginner at laying or grouting tile. Yes, I went through that in college. But DD's too young right now, that's not the problem.

I did take a couple of pills (from the last week of the pack - more progesterone in that) and it held off until I got home. Still terrible hot flashes - last hour of driving I barely made it, had to pull over at pizza place 20 miles from home and try to cool down, the A/C in car wasn't helping enough. Next day got my period, 2AM the day after that had worst flood I've ever experienced - like a miscarriage. I'm going to ask my dr about going on HRT if she doesn't want me on the Pill.
