I don't know but yahoo mail has been giving us fits for the last few days, right now the page to log in won't even open up.

I've had trouble opening my yahoo mail page, then once there, trouble opening my mail. I think it's a yahoo problem.

I do know that Yahoo had some Gremlins at their California office. I have no problems with my mail, but the Yahoo Groups weren't co-operating at all. Very few, if any could post from the site. If they used their email to post, there was no issue, but posting an item or responding to a poster via there site resulted in an error 999 coming up.

That is fixed as of this morning though, and it's been wonky for a few days.

I haven't had any problems and I've been using Yahoo mail a lot the last few days.

Have you checked your system for bugs? Preventative maintenance? Updates? Rebooted? Or at least log out and log back in?

Are you using the "classic" version or the "new" one? I've been staying with the old "classic". Some things, I don't like changed.

It just does that sometimes. It will work again soon.

DH has the new one and I have the old format. He's been having trouble with his.
In the "to" space, just start typing the name of the person you want to email and it should open up suggested names.
Very simple.

Story of ATT customer service: My husband spent 30 minutes on the phone with ATT telling him it must be our computer and blah blah blah blah blah(my husband has a PC repair business BTW). Finally sent to the next tier of service and same thing, must be our computer even though yahoo mail is the only thing causing an issue. On and on for about 5 minutes until suddenly he says "I just got a pop up telling me that service is down"...gee thanks Captain Obvious! ATT has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen my entire life. They absolutely never know what is going on.

Yes, I learned to-day that if I went to the contact list and clicked on the one I wanted ,it came up. Unfortunately it also brought up one that was deleted a long time ago and wasn't presently on my contact list. I don't know why it would still find this.

I've never used the method you mentioned. I move the cursor to the address box and begin typing the first 2 to 3 characters and then s drop list appears of all the names in have in my contact list with those characters. From that list, I then click on the one I want.

Two days ago, I did notice that Yahoo! email new messaging was not behaving very well. Also, it is poor if you happen to catch the time when your ISP is doing maintence on their system. For me, that happends sometime after midnight. (My provider is AT&T.)

I am wondering if there is a personnel problem at Yahoo! Yahoo! has been going through some rough spots the past 2 months and their stock price reflects this.

I too have been running unto minor issues when I use my Yahoo email service and Yahoo website in the past week or 2. I do have another email account and that one is stable; so is the rest of my computer. For sure something is going on with Yahoo/AT&T.

About a month ago, Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, Hotmail and some other email services got hacked into. I'm guessing that Yahoo/AT&T is trying to resolve this problem which is resulting in unstableness of their programs, websites, email, etc..

By the way, you can check whether your Yahoo email account got hacked by checking at Yahoo's website below. If yur did, you'd need to change your password or contact Yahoo for instruction.

The problems we had all day yesterday are now gone. We could not even go to yahoo.com yesterday.
