Thanks so much for the sites, they have been a tremendous help with this. I started the framing yesterday and have five sections basically framed. I need to start lining with moss but it is raining here so no outdoor work to be done. I used a large ball on a plant pot to get the general shape of the head, the body was easy as it is just a roll. The tail took a bit of molding to try and make it look like it has a crook to it. If someone can tell me how to post pictures on here I will try to get some to show you the progress. I need to get some rebar or something to sit the sections onto in the ground. I am hoping after they are filled to just poke the stake up through and use tent pegs around the base. Adorable baby. I remember the first time I saw one of these in adult size, retention pond (called a lake lol) in Naples. I thought it was a small Loch Ness monster. Snorkel neck sticking up out of the water. Much shyer than the other turtles which we fed bread. Would spook at the least thing. And one day saw one crossing our yard to get to the other retention pond. I think these are my favorite turtles, real personalities and right out of dinosaur-land.

Michael, I don't know the reasons why but I can tell you in the past that I know several folks who have been banned for mentioning other message sites or linking to them. As I said above I did ask again, I think it was right before Xmas, with a message to admin if that was still the case and never did get a reply to my message. It's the only site I know of where the mention of another message site OR linking to one, can result in a problem. Since GW is a huge site it means that Mods are have a lot of areas to cover. So to be on the safe side I don't mention other message sites, nor link to them, nor transfer to here threads from other sites, although as you know I can do that elsewhere with no problem. It was this way when I first came to GW in about 2000 when Spike still owned GW and I have learned nothing to the contrary since then. And as I said, I did try to find out about the current situation with no luck. Carolyn
