Hi Diane: from my experience wth Joyberry's parent, Basyes blueberry bloomed in partial shade, and blooms last longer than fun-sun. BB is the most disease and drought resistant rose I had ever seen in my life! It's on the same rank as Texas "Earthkind" roses such as Belinda's dream and Marie Pavie. Joyberry should have no disease issue, having such a great daddy like BB. As to Joyberry's other parent, mini Joycie, only Kim Rupert would know - he grows that one.

Michael, I don't know the reasons why but I can tell you in the past that I know several folks who have been banned for mentioning other message sites or linking to them. As I said above I did ask again, I think it was right before Xmas, with a message to admin if that was still the case and never did get a reply to my message. It's the only site I know of where the mention of another message site OR linking to one, can result in a problem. Since GW is a huge site it means that Mods are have a lot of areas to cover. So to be on the safe side I don't mention other message sites, nor link to them, nor transfer to here threads from other sites, although as you know I can do that elsewhere with no problem. It was this way when I first came to GW in about 2000 when Spike still owned GW and I have learned nothing to the contrary since then. And as I said, I did try to find out about the current situation with no luck. Carolyn

Dang! That's one big ole' shad, but to get its picture just as it was being speared by that anhingha(I think that's how you spell it, but I might be off a bit)took a quick eye! I would love to see a pic of the bird swallowing that sucker, but then, shad are about as slimy as a scaly fish can get, so I guess it would just slide down like boiled okra! Sharon McKenzie
