We were at a big car show all weekend. His favorite place to be? The trunk! LOL

He's so serious and is hard to photograph these days!

Monica that is our car. It's almost the same color as the Orange Crush. It's a 37 Ford and the Orange Crush was a 39.

I'm so happy for you and the kids. Harlow is yet another bundle of love for your home. You know "Grandma Dakota" is thrilled that there's another Boxer bringing her special blessings to your home. Before long you'll have to build an addition or two to hold all the joy! LOL Please keep posting photos of the kids, Harlow, and yourself. I've missed you. Harry the Perfect and Sam the Not send their love, too.

Are you sick of hearing how much they look alike yet? I've heard it a million times with Nick and Dan since it's absolutely true. Sometimes I start to think that Dan is starting to look a lot different than Nick did but then I look at old pictures of Nick and realize I'm wrong. I can't believe how fast time is flying. She looks like she's going to crawl away from him when you're done taking that picture. Nicks lives in snow boots. I have to hide them in the summer.

New BS/Grante ... Advice needed on what to do with cabinets!!!
Q

Since these cabinets have sentimental value to them, there's no way that I would do a kludge fix to them like gel staining. Gelstaining is for someone who is selling and moving. It's not really staining, and in fact obscures the grain pattern of the wood because of the high solids content. It's a work-around for cheap cabinets, not a solution to at all be considered for someone in your situation with something well made and sentimental to you. Treat them like fine furniture. I would take off the doors, number them, and find a local furniture refinisher who has a dip tank. Have the finish removed and then have them properly restained and finished with a catalyzed varnish. You can work on the frames yourself to save a little money, but have the refinisher do the staining and finishing for your so everything matches.

He is just the cutest little boy!!! Years from now you will all look back at this picture, instead of saying "Aw, wasn't he cute at that age." You will be saying, "Remember that year! Grant fell and scratched his nose and we had to wait to take picture......." Even the booboo's make fun memories.

We did, that's my parents car. The colors are very similar, different style/year car though.

Okay...I just did a double-take.
The color is so distinctive. We don't see it much here in the East.

I just spent 3 days at a large show...i'm on overload right now.

Yes, it is a pretty distinct color.
Is there a particular color you see alot of in the East?

Brent's having another car built now and we're trying to decide on colors; it's so hard!!!

What a cute pic. My kids used to hide their faces in their hands when they saw me with a camera.

My first car was an orange coupe that had been a company car for Jacobsen Lawnmower Co., whose lawnmowers were orange.

I hope Grant doesn't make a habit of crawling in open car trunks if nobody is around.

Cute picture! Grant is really growing.
My DH would love to have that car.Orange is his favorite color. His bedroom is done in Tony Stewart colors, orange walls.YUK! Pretty bad when a 70 year old man decorates his room with his favorite race car driver's stuff.LOL But it's his room, even though I do wake up in the adjoining bedroom to the glare of orange every morning.LOL
marygailv-I'm sure Steph is very careful not to leave Grant unattended long enough to crawl into a trunk!LOL

Stef...I'm seeing a lot of green, all shades, and one I saw yesterday was a grayish green with silver accents. Interior was a fantastic, what I called a melding of art deco with techno.

Another color that is still strong is purple...all shades.

Bright yellow has faded fast, and so has browns.

I know what you're going through with color. Before Tom has his car painted, I remember him looking at colors and combinations everywhere.
